The Battlefield franchise is about to make a major comeback, and excitement is getting high as Battlefield 6 gets closer to its full reveal. Although EA and DICE haven't officially revealed the title, they have confirmed a significant detail: the open beta.

If you are also keen to know everything about the Battlefield 6 beta, continue with our guide, as we'll be explaining everything there is to know about the game.

When will the Battlefield 6 beta launch?

While there hasn't been any announcement about an exact date, leaks and API data suggest that the open beta could begin as early as August 4, 2025, shortly after the new full reveal on July 31. If we look at the previous Battlefield betas, we can expect a 3- to 10-day window with preload access ahead of time.

What can players expect from the open beta?

Battlefield 6

EA recently, on Battlefield's official X account, confirmed that Battlefield 6 will have an open beta, with closed playtests already happening behind the scenes for months. According to this post, players will also be able to choose between two loadout styles during the beta: open weapons and close class-based weapons.

In easy words, you can either stick with the signature class weapons or opt out for the freedom to equip any weapon, regardless of its class.

This hybrid system aims to please fans on both sides of the debate, following the divisive weapon freedom of Battlefield 2042 and the more rigid class system of previous games.

DICE also revealed that the class system weapons will carry perks, like extended breath control for Recon when using sniper, adding strategic depth to the closed loadout option.
