Trailer

In case you haven't seen it or if you want to give it another look, here is the official trailer for Overwatch 2 Season 16, titled Stadium:

New hero: Freja

Freja is the next hero being added to Overwatch 2. Players had a chance to try the new DPS hero during her weekend trial, but she will permanently be added at the start of Season 16.

Stadium

One of the biggest additions of the season will be a completely new mode called Stadium. This is a best-of-seven rounds competitive mode where players will have to select a hero at the start, and they won't be able to change it.

Stadium features its own unique set of maps, designed specifically for this mode's pace. In between rounds, players will have to spend the points they earn to unlock new abilities and modify their hero to their advantage.

On top of all, players can enjoy this mode in first-person or third-person view, being able to switch between the two perspectives at any time. This will be the first time an official mode offers the third-person view, giving users a new way of experiencing the hero shooter.

Skins and cosmetics

The season will feature a Dokiwatch theme, with many cosmetics following this style. The first cosmetic to follow this will be the upcoming Juno mythic skin

Kiriko, Freja, Widowmaker, Brigitte, and D.Va will also receive Dokiwatch skins, with some available through the battle pass and others through the store.

Mercy will receive a skin similar in style to the Dokiwatch lineup and a mythic weapon. The trailer gives us a first look at said weapon, which will be available through the Mythic shop after the mid-season update drops.

The other skin lineup coming this season is the Demon Band Group, where we see heroes sporting a demonic look and rocking some sort of instrument.
