As we approach the final day of RE:L0:AD, the first-ever Rainbow Six Siege X tournament, we are also getting close to the reveal of the Year 10 Roadmap and the upcoming Year 10 Season 2.
On June 10, 2025, Ubisoft will release Rainbow Six Siege X, an update that will modernize the game. Keep in mind that Siege X isn't a new game, it's just this, an update!
Logically, new seasons are times for changes. So far, we have already seen changes to Jäger's ADSs, how electricity behaves, the modernized maps, and many more. However, one change that we haven't fully seen is Clash's rework.
In Year 10 Season 2, Ubisoft will make important changes to Clash's gadget, the CCE Shield. Keep on reading to know more about what has been released so far about Clash's immediate tweaks!
Clash to be able to place her shield down
Clash's rework will mainly affect her gadget, the CCE Shield. As seen in Rainbow Six Siege's teasers released this week, Clash will be able to place the CCE Shield down and trigger it from the distance.
This change should make Clash players feel more free. They will be able to move around the map without having to worry about the shield. Moreover, as Clash won't be carrying her shield anymore, she will probably be quicker.
How will Clash's shield work according to the teasers?
It's difficult to answer this question with the information available so far. However, we expect Clash to be able to deploy her shield freely and trigger it from any position on the map, similarly to Fenrir and his mines.
With Ubisoft changing how electricity works in Rainbow Six Siege with the release of Rainbow Six Siege X, Clash's electricity should damage attackers anymore. However, as seen in this week's teasers, we expect Clash's CCE Shield to slow down attackers.
Although this hasn't been confirmed, we expect attackers to be able to deal with Clash's shield just like a Deployable Shield or a Mira window: with explosives.
Is Clash's weapon loadout changing too?
Based on Rainbow Six Siege's latest teaser of Clash's rework, we don't think Ubisoft has changed Clash's weapon loadout.
In the trailer attached above, we can see Clash's CCE Shield in action. Then, the defender pushes the attacker, which gives us a chance to see the weapon she is using. There, Clash is using her P-10C Pistol, which makes us think Ubisoft hasn't given Clash any extra weapon.
