Virtus.pro qualify for BLAST R6 Major Osaka

Virtus.pro have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after beating Twisted Minds in the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs Lower Bracket.

The day before, Virtus.pro had lost to G2 Esports. However, the team managed to bounce back from their one-sided defeat against the samurai by claiming a 2-0 victory against the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City semifinalists. Their wins on Villa and Lair were enough to clinch a spot to compete in Osaka's Major.

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be Virtus.pro's third international appearance of the season after having also qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City and the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. In both Utah and France, the team finished just outside the playoffs, as they were handed 1-2 defeats by Team Falcons and Weibo Gaming, respectively. In Osaka, Virtus.pro's goal will likely be to reach the competition's Top 8, a result that would qualify them for the Six Invitational 2027.

Virtus.pro's next match will be against Geekay Esports at the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs Lower Bracket. The winner will directly clinch a spot at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka Swiss Stage as well as earn more SI Points, making their path to a Six Invitational 2027 qualification smoother.
