With developers committing to improving the game's quality in Season 2, most players are patiently waiting for the return of Verdansk to Warzone.
The map's return was announced last year during the COD Next 2024 event and while we are still waiting for a confirmation, all signs point out that the map will be introduced at the start of Season 3 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
Apart from confirming the expected launch date, leaker TheGhostOfHope on X (formerly Twitter) shared some new details about the map's design. First off, the map's version will be the original one that launched in March 2020, with a few modifications.

The train returns, the stadium interior will be open but the roof will remain closed, the train station interior will be closed, and there won't be a fast travel system with the subway stations.
Some of these changes were implemented after the original map's launch, like access to the Stadium and Train Station in Season 5 or a fast travel subway system in Season 6 of Modern Warfare/Warzone.
Based on this information, we can expect the rest of the POIs in the map to look like they were in the original version. Season 3 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 18.
