As confirmed by a Valorant Game Designer on November 11, Neon will be nerfed in Patch 9.11. For the last few months, the Duelist has been one of the best agents in the game as her movement was too strong. Neon's slides allowed her to quickly move around enemies, who would struggle at shooting back.
However, Neon's nerf affects not only her sliding movement but also her ultimate ability. Keep on reading to know more about Neon's nerf coming in Patch 9.11!
Neon's Patch 9.11 nerf explained
In a leaked video released by the popular Valorant leaker @ValorLeaks, which will likely be part of the presentation video for Patch 9.11, the agent designer Dan Hardison goes through the nerfs that will be introduced in the upcoming update.
Neon's nerf is mainly focused on how the agent slides. First, the design team has decided to reduce the number of slides from two to one. This is because they felt like Neon having two slides allowed her to not just engage in a gunfight but also escape from it safely.
The second and final update to Neon's slide movement will be a reduction in the slide's accuracy and, starting with Patch 9.11, Neon's accuracy after the slide will be like shooting while crouching or moving.
Additionally, Neon's ultimate is also going through two nerfs. First, the time of Neon's ultimate will be tighter, forcing players to have a plan of how to use it before turning it on. Last but not least, the Ultimate Cost will be increased to eight Ultimate Points.
