Six Invitational 2027 Guide: Everything you need to know

On September 23, Ubisoft revealed São Paulo as the city to host the Six Invitational 2027. After a decade since the first Six Invitational and three years since the first and so far only edition played in Brazil, teams will travel back to São Paulo for a chance to join the shortlist of players to ever lift the hammer.

The Six Invitational 2027 is set to be a special edition. In 2024, Brazilian fans showed to the world how it's done; their passion is truly unmatched, especially when it comes to Rainbow Six Siege. After events in Boston and Paris, it's the Brazilians' chance to steal the show once again.

Given the importance of the Six Invitational, we have put together a Six Invitational 2027 Guide including a look at the format, calendar, venue, teams, and more:

Calendar

The Six Invitational 2027 will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from February 1 to February 14, 2027.

Exact dates for the Six Invitational 2027 have yet to be revealed. However, we believe the group stage will be played from February 1 to February 5, the playoffs will be played from February 7 to February 10, and the Finals will be played from February 12 to February 14.

Venue

The chosen venue to host the Six Invitational 2027 Finals is the Suhai Music Hall. The venue is located in the south of São Paulo and it can host events of roughly 9,000 people. Therefore, this will be the most crowded Six Invitational since the Six Invitational 2024.

Tickets

The official platform to get your Six Invitational 2027 tickets is Eventim. On September 22 and September 23, ticket prices are sold with a small discount, which disappears after September 24, which is when the general sale begins.

Here's a look at the ticket prices:

• 1-day Friday: Early Bird (R$40,00) / General (R$45,00)
• 1-day Saturday: Early Bird (R$45,00) / General (R$50,00)
• 1-day Sunday: Early Bird (R$45,00) / General (R$50,00)
• 3-day pass ground floor: Early Bird (R$125,00) / General (R$140,00)
• 3-day pass balcony floor one Tier 1: Early Bird (R$100,00) / General (R$110,00)
• 3-day pass balcony floor two Tier 2: Early Bird (R$100,00) / General (R$110,00)
• Elite Package: Early Bird (R$600,00) / General (R$700,00)

Format

The Six Invitational 2027 format won't be any different from the last five editions played; therefore, fans are already well used to it.

For those unaware of the format, it may be a bit difficult to understand at once. However, we will do the best so you can understand it with no major difficulties.

In simple terms, the Six Invitational 2027 is divided into three phases: the Group Stage, the Playoffs, and the Finals. Here's a look at the three of them:

Group Stage

The 20 teams are divided into four groups of five teams each. The groups aren't made randomly; historicaly, Ubisoft has always given teams a specific seeding following a set of rules.

For instance, at the Six Invitational 2026, seeding worked as follows:

• Seed 1: Regional Finals winners
• Seed 2: Munich Major champion and Global Standings' seeds one to three
• Seed 3: Global Standings' seeds four to seven
• Seed 4: Global Standings' seeds eight to eleven
• Seed 5: Last Chance Qualifier winners

Such a system is used to make groups even; otherwise, we could see scenarios where the best teams are drawn into one or two groups, whilst the weakest sides are placed in the remaining spots.

Unfortunately, the seeding system for the Six Invitational 2027 hasn't been unveiled yet. This year's will likely be different due to the addition of the CN League, which increased the total tally of regions from four to five.

The group stage lasts for five days and all games are BO3 series. By the conclusion of the group stage, the four best teams from each group move to the playoffs.

Playoffs

The Six Invitational 2027 Playoffs will be shaped as a double-elimination bracket with BO3 games. Depending on the teams' final position in the group stage, their placement on the playoffs bracket will be totally different. Here's how it works:

• 1st place in the group stage: Upper Bracket Quarterfinals
• 2nd and 3rd place in the group stage: Upper Bracket Round 1
• 4th place in the group stage: Lower Bracket Round 1

Therefore, placing high on the group stage is crucial as puts teams closer to reaching the Six Invitational 2027 Finals where players will compete in front of a highly-passionate Brazilian crowd.

Teams who finish in fourth place in the group stage will have it difficult as they won't have any more second chances; one more defeat and they are out of the tournament.

The best six teams will be in the Six Invitational 2027 Finals.

Finals

The Six Invitational 2027 Finals will be played from February 12 to February 14 in São Paulo's Suhai Music Hall, which has a capacity of a bit more than 9,000 people.

Six matches will be played at the Suhai Music Hall, including the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals and the Upper Bracket Final (February 12), the Lower Bracket Semifinal and the Lower Bracket Final (February 13) and the Grand Final (February 14).

All of the games will be BO3 series except the grand final, which will be a BO5 match. As in previous Six Invitational grand finals, we expect the grand final to have infinite overtime; the only game of Rainbow Six Siege of the year to have such a format. At the Six Invitational 2026 grand final, FaZe Clan and Team Secret played two infinite overtime games, including Fortress and Border, which ended in 11-9 and 10-8 scores.

Teams

Here's a look at the teams that are already confirmed to play at the Six Invitational 2027:

FaZe Clan

The current back-to-back Six Invitational champions FaZe Clan were invited to participate at the Six Invitational 2027 after winning the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026.

Although the Brazilians have lifted the hammer twice, they are the favorites to win in São Paulo. If FaZe Clan were to win the Six Invitational 2027, they would be the first team to win three world championships consecutively.

Additionally, they would be the third team ever to win international championships in three different continents, joining a list that so far only includes G2 Esports (Six Invitational in Montreal, PL Season 8 Finals in Rio de Janeiro, and Six Paris Major) and w7m esports (BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen, BLAST R6 Major Atlanta, and Six Invitational 2024 in São Paulo).

The remaining 19 teams will come from the Global Standings and the Last Chance Qualifiers. We will update this list as more teams are confirmed to take part in the upcoming Six Invitational edition.
