The second day of the Six Invitational 2025 is now over and we finally have a more exact idea of how could the group stage be shaped by the end of the tournament's first phase. It's fair to say, fans will be able to enjoy a couple of upsets.
Here's everything you need to know about today's Six Invitational 2025 action:
Group A
Today's Group A matches included a clash between yesterday's losers M80 and Team Joel, and the debut of Unwanted, who played against Team Liquid. Here are the results:
- M80 2-0 Team Joel
- Unwanted 2-1 Team Liquid
Following M80 and Team Joel's defeats in the first day of action, both teams desperately needed a win to get back on track. Eventually, the North American side got the four points after 7-1 and 8-6 wins on Consulate and Lair.
All in all, it was a really underwhelming performance by the Asian side, especially in the first map of the series. While Adam "nudl" Hryceniak and Wu "Reeps96" Weichen finished with SiegeGG ratings of 1.17 and 1.04, the rest of the players in the team finished with ratings of below 0.80.
Logically, when a team struggles, the opposition excels. In today's game, the M80 duo Leonardo "Kyno" Figueiredo and William "Spoit" Löfstedt led the individual standings with SiegeGG ratings of 1.38 and 1.22, respectively.
Fortunately for North American fans, Group A included a second win for the region as Unwanted defeated Team Liquid in the team's debut at the Six Invitational 2025. After a 7-5 win on Lair, the Brazilians hit back with another close game on Consulate. Last but not least, the North Americans closed out the series with a 7-4 win on Bank.
Overall, Unwanted got the win thanks to a great collective display as all the players finished the game with SiegeGG ratings between 1.09 and 0.93, with the highest rated player being Adam "Atom" Gutiérrez.
Group B
The group of dead had two exciting matches played today as Team Secret made its Six Invitational 2025 debut against Shopify Rebellion, while CAG Osaka faced FaZe Clan. Here are the results:
- Shopify Rebellion 2-1 Team Secret
- FaZe Clan 2-1 CAG Osaka
The first match of the day in Group B was a thrilling series between Shopify Rebellion and Team Secret in the Europeans' Six Invitational 2025 debut.
The series' first two maps ended in maximum overtime results as the Americans took the early lead with a victory on Clubhouse while the Europeans leveled the series with a win on Bank.
Surprisingly enough, after two close maps, Shopify Rebellion closed out the series with a one-sided 7-1 win on Lair. All in all, the North American side was the best in the server as all of their players finished with ratings between 1.18 and 0.93, which points at a great collective performance. The team's best rated players were Richard "Rexen" Coronado and Jaylen "Ambi" Turk, with ratings of 1.18 and 1.14, respectively.
Meanwhile, CAG Osaka's surprising 2-0 victory over FURIA Esports on Day 1 was followed by a 1-2 defeat against FaZe Clan. While the Brazilians were expected to take down the Japanese, this result means the Cyclops will finish the group stage with, at least, five points. Historically, no team with five or more points has ever been knocked out of the Six Invitational in the group stage; in other words, the group of death's favorite team to finish at the bottom of the standings may be safe already.
Group C
So far the Six Invitational 2025 Group C has had upsets in every day of action; today's was DarkZero Esports' win against Team BDS. In the other game of the day, RazaH Company defeated PSG Talon. Here are the results:
- DarkZero Esports 2-1 Team BDS
- RazaH Company 2-0 PSG Talon
Group C's action in the second day of the Six Invitational 2025 kicked off with a one-sided victory for RazaH Company against PSG Talon, as the Brazilians won on Chalet and Bank. With a SiegeGG rating of 1.43, Henrique "Flastry" Pennacchia was the best player of the match.
Meanwhile, Park "Gotti" Geon-Woo was the only player in the South Korean side to finish with a positive SiegeGG rating, as he finished the series with a rating of 1.24. With this victory, the Brazilians currently lead Group C with seven points and will play against Team BDS in what will be an attempt to extend it.
Later on, the French-majority roster made its Six Invitational 2025 debut with a 7-3 victory against DarkZero Esports on Nighthaven Labs. However, while the Europeans seemed to be the favorites to win, DarkZero Esports' maximum overtime on Chalet was followed by a 7-1 win on Kafe. During the game on the Russian map, Théo "LikEfac" Mariano could be heard shouting at his teammates hoping they would react. Unfortunately for them, they didn't.
Against Team BDS, Nathan "Nafe" Sharp was the best player of the match with a SiegeGG rating of 1.17 in a game where he faced his former MNM Gaming teammates Fatih "Solotov" Türker and Josh "Yuzus" Pritchard. The team's win also allowed the Americans to keep themselves alive in the fight for the group's top seed.
Group D
Last but not least, Virtus.pro solidified its lead in Group D after playing against Oxygen Esports. Meanwhile, SCARZ made their Six Invitational 2025 debut against Spacestation Gaming. Here are the results:
- Virtus.pro 2-0 Oxygen Esports
- Spacestation Gaming 2-0 SCARZ
The first match of the day in Group D saw Virtus.pro and Oxygen Esports clashing in a Rainbow Six Siege game for the first time.
The Russians were the clear favorites to take the win for two reasons mainly: firstly, the Europeans headed to the game undefeated against North American sides since the start of the 2023 season, and, secondly, the team's core has topped the Six Invitational group standings in every edition they played since 2021, including 2021, 2022, and 2024.
As expected, the Bears didn't have to struggle much to beat the North American side as they took down the green roster after 7-4 and 7-5 wins on Chalet and Clubhouse, respectively.
With a SiegeGG rating of 1.57, Danil "JoyStiCK" Gabov was the best player of the match as he was crucial for the Russians, especially on Clubhouse. However, it's also worth mentioning the efforts of his teammate Dmitry "Always" Mitrahovich, who finished the game with a SiegeGG rating of 1.23 and three clutches.
Finally, the last game of the day in Group D saw Spacestation Gaming running over SCARZ from the very start of the series. The Americans took down the Japanese roster after 7-2 and 7-3 wins on Consulate and Chalet, respectively.
Overall, the game was absolutely controlled by the astronauts, who all finished with positive ratings. More specifically, Benjamin "Benjamaster" Dereli, Jack "J9O" Burkard, and Alec "Fultz" Fultz led the squad with SiegeGG ratings of 1.54, 1.40, and 1.40. Meanwhile, all of the SCARZ players finished with negative ratings despite securing the same number of entry kills than their opponents.
