Sentinels have qualified for the playoffs of the Valorant Masters Toronto after back-to-back victories against Chinese sides Wolves Esports and Bilibili Gaming.
The Americans had a great debut on Canadian soil as they first beat the pack after wins on Split (13-11) and Lotus (13-8). Meanwhile, although Bilibili Gaming was a hard nut to crack, Sentinels ended up clinching a Valorant Masters Toronto Playoffs spot after an initial 9-13 defeat on Icebox was followed by 13-5 and 13-9 wins on Sunset and Lotus, respectively.
Although Sentinels' Zachary "zekken" Patrone was the best player of the match with an ACS of 264, Bilibili Gaming's Wang "whzy" Haohze left the viewers with some outstanding individual plays while playing with the Operator. His 4K in the Chinese' penultimate attacking round temporarily put the Asians 7-4 ahead on the scoreboard in Lotus; unfortunately for them, the Americans found their way back and ended up taking the series win.
Following today's result, Sentinels has become the second VCT 2025 Americas side to qualify for the playoffs as they have joined their fellows G2 Esports. The region's top seed is still to be seen in the post-Tejo nerf meta, which is interesting given that the samurai had used the Colombian initiator in all of their VCT 2025 Americas Stage 1 rounds.
Later today, the winner of the match between Paper Rex and Gen.G Esports will follow Sentinels' footsteps as the second team to clinch a Valorant Masters Toronto spot. The Pacific region is granted to have two teams in the Playoffs as the winner will join Rex Regum Qeon.
