Riot Games has taken the decision to temporarily disable Omen from all Valorant queues due to a bug. The information was made official on June 3 as Riot Games released a post on Valorant's official X account explaining the reasons behind the decision, as well as a video showing the bug.

According to Valorant's post, the bug allows Omen to "unintentionally see enemies as they appear on your teammates' view." Omen has been disabled from all Valorant queues starting from 5:15 PM PT and it won't be back until "further notice."

Despite Omen being temporarily disabled, Riot Games expects to resolve the issue this week. "We're hoping to resolve the issue tomorrow and will keep you updated."

Omen's bug was first reported on social media by Wolves Esports' head coach Hoc Wah "Fayde" Chong. Curiously enough, Wolves Esports is one of the twelve teams that will take part in the Valorant Masters Toronto later this week. While Valorant hasn't talked about the possibility of Omen being disabled in Toronto, that could be the case if the bug isn't fixed by the start of the competition.

Here's more information about Omen's bug and when we can expect the smoker to be back in Competitive and other Valorant queues:

When was Omen disabled from Valorant?

Omen was disabled from Valorant on June 2, 2025.

When will Omen be enabled again in Valorant?

Omen is expected to be enabled in Valorant in the upcoming days. While Valorant's initial post mentioned the possibility to re-introduce the smoker one day after being disabled, it doesn't look like Omen will make its way back to the game on June 3.

Why has Omen been disabled from Valorant?

Omen has been disabled from Valorant due to a bug while using Dark Cover. This bug would allow players to navigate across the map while using Dark Cover without being seen by the enemy. This would allow Omen users to have strong information about opponents' locations.
