Strategists in Marvel Rivals are the life-savers of every lobby. Since Season 2.5, they've only gotten stronger, even surviving the brutal Dive meta that dominated the previous season.

Now, with Ultron’s arrival, the Strategist roster has grown from eight to nine heroes, with more joining the fight every month. In this tier list, we break down the most-picked and meta-defining Strategists in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5.

Note: There are no Strategists below B-Tier as every one of them is viable to some degree. Their Ultimates are situational and can be highly impactful depending on the matchup.

S-Tier Strategists

Luna Snow

Defensive Ultimates that extend a team’s survivability remain dominant in the current meta. Luna Snow’s unmatched ability to provide consistent healing with just a flick of her wrist is still essential, and her Ultimate has retained its value since launch.

Her latest team-up with Hawkeye lets her turn Clint’s arrow into a freezing bolt, immobilizing enemies for a few seconds. So, whenever Hawkeye is banned in a lobby, you can bet Luna is a free pick.

Invisible Woman

Much like Luna Snow, Sue Storm’s supportive toolkit makes her a top pick for teams that rely on defensive Ultimates. As long as that massive barrier is up, it’s a battle of attrition within an almost "immortal" ring, unless Sue goes down, of course.

She’s not just about protection. Her area denial makes specific locations tough to contest, and her push-pull mechanics are crucial for shutting down terrifying Ultimates like those of Wanda and Dr. Strange.

Rocket Raccoon

Rocket has been a strong force on the battlefield ever since his healing and Ultimate received a substantial buff, greatly improving his team’s survivability. His B.R.B. Machine guarantees a 7-vs-6 advantage by reviving the first eliminated ally, provided they're near the device.

Rocket’s agility is also a headache for low-mobility enemies. And with his new team-up synergy with Peni Parker, he's an essential pick when she’s around, allowing for two Spider Nests to deny large areas, particularly effective on defense-heavy maps like Central Park and Klyntar.

A-Tier Strategists

Jeff the Land Shark

Jeff is a wild card. In chaotic lobbies, he can either underperform or pull off game-changing Ultimates that catch enemies off guard. His Ultimate, while hilarious, is a terrifying sight to hear even in higher elos.

His reworked healing has improved his healing potential. Jeff can finally support allies more effectively, but his nerfed mobility means he can no longer sneak around indefinitely. Farewell to Jeff mains, who thought they were Duelists.

Cloak & Dagger

Tyrone and Tandy have remained balanced, and their duo synergy is a valuable asset in higher-elo play. Dagger’s healing daggers and life-saving bubble make her hard to eliminate, and Cloak’s DPS can deter or eliminate flankers and divers.

Their Ultimate is still decent, allowing your team to reposition for kills. However, they’re vulnerable to high-impact Ultimates like Magneto’s Meteor-M or Iron Man’s Maximum Pulse. Pairing them with a strong Magneto or Hulk can help protect them while ulting by providing a barrier.

Loki

The trickster god continues to be a headache after 2.5 seasons. His deceptive powers make identifying the real Loki nearly impossible amid a swarm of clones, a constant advantage in chaotic teamfights.

His Ultimate is purely situational, but a good Loki can turn a losing team fight into a winning one. Paired with his life-saving Immortal Runes (or "Lamps," as the veterans call it), can easily swing a fight depending on player skill.

B-Tier

Adam Warlock

Adam still brings value to a well-rounded comp. His Soul Bond ability provides short-term defense, but against high-damage comps, his healing often falls short due to cooldown limitations.

That said, Adam can deal significant damage. As a hybrid Strategist/Duelist, he can act as a third or even fourth DPS on the team.

His ‘aura-farming’ Ultimate remains one of the most impactful, capable of reviving an entire squad and turning the tide in Overtime. In the right hands, especially those with shiny Lords, he’s a force to be reckoned with.

Ultron

The newest Strategist in the game, Ultron brings destabilizing pressure to the field. Like Adam Warlock, he blends DPS with support, as well as offering strong team utilities.

His healing Drone doesn’t restore much health, but it covers a large area, perfect for sustaining grouped allies. Against a Dive comp, his Firewall adds an overshield, increasing team durability and defense. While his Ultimate may not be top-tier, it offers flexibility for both offense and defense.

Mantis

Once an S-Tier pick at launch, Mantis ruled the meta for three months before receiving heavy nerfs. Her movement speed boost was slashed, turning her into a pure backline Strategist instead of a pseudo-Duelist.

Right now, she struggles to carry on as a main Strategist. Her Sleep ability is still valuable for shutting down enemy Ultimates and harassing divers, but her healing and Ultimate are underwhelming in most comps. She’s still viable in a triple-Strategist composition, but anything below that makes her a ‘throw pick.’
