Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 Phase 2 Day 2 Preview: Everything you need to know

Following the conclusion of the first BO1 games in the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 Phase 2, it's now time to let the BO3 matches begin. From now on, all of the games in the tournament will be BO3 series; except for the grand final, which will be a BO5 game.

Today is the turn for the Upper Bracket Finals. The teams that win today will automatically qualify for the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs, grabbing a top seed spot in their respective groups.

Here's what you need to know about today's games:

DarkZero Esports vs. CAG by VARREL

DarkZero Esports and CAG by VARREL will meet in one of the two initial matches of the day. The BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions are the favorites to take the victory. Finally, it's also worth adding that, although DarkZero Esports and the Cyclops have been active in Rainbow Six Siege's esports ecosystem for over eight years, both teams have only met once. It was at the Six Invitational 2021; back then, the Americans secured a 7-3 win against the Japanese.

Team Falcons vs. Wildcard

Team Falcons and Wildcard will clash in what should be one of the closest games of the day. Both teams have met three times since the start of Year 10 and today's match will be their fourth clash.

Surprisingly enough, Wildcard currently has the better H2H record. The Americans lost to the European mix in RE:L0:AD. However, they beat Team Falcons at the Six Invitational 2026 and at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City.

Both teams had a great debut game at the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. Whilst the Americans beat Team Liquid Alienware, the European mix took down M80—North America's second seed at the tournament, only surpassed by Wildcard.

Unlike yesterday's clashes, today's match will be a BO3 series. The only time both Wildcard and Team Falcons faced off in a BO3 game, the North Americans upset the Falcons with a 2-1 win.

This match will be the first clash between the two former Team Secret players and current Esports World Cup champions Marc "jume" Steinmann and Adrian "Adrian" Tryka. FaZe Clan vs. Virtus.pro

FaZe Clan and Virtus.pro will clash for the fifth time in Rainbow Six Siege competitions. The Brazilians have never lost against the Bears and have only lost one map against them, which came at the Six Invitational 2025.

Logically, this is the first time both teams will clash with Virtus.pro's current roster, which has changed a lot in the last few months. This will be their first duel with the Russian and French mix.

The only link that connects the two teams is Virtus.pro's coach, César "Dark" Adriano, who won the Six Sweden Major as FaZe Clan's analyst.

The back-to-back Six Invitational champions are the favorites to win the game. However, FaZe Clan have only reached the playoffs of the Esports World Cup once; their Top 8 finish in 2024's edition is the team's best run so far in the history of the tournament.

FURIA vs. Geekay Esports

FURIA and Geekay Esports will clash in one of the final two Upper Bracket Final games of the day. This will be the first time both teams meet in an official match of Rainbow Six Siege.

Although apparently there are no links between the players of the two rosters, that's actually wrong: Geekay Esports' Evan "Yoggah" Nelson and FURIA's Lucas "Dias" Dias had played together for XSET, M80, and Oxygen Esports. This will be the first time both players meet on the server since Dias moved to the South America League.

Both teams had a difficult start in the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. Curiously enough, the two teams played at the same time and both games ended in overtime scores on Kafe Dostoyevsky, as FURIA beat Weibo Gaming and Geekay Esports beat ENTERPRISE Esports.

On paper, the Brazilians are the favorites to take the win. However, their underwhelming performance at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City is still very present. This game is an opportunity for both teams to make an statement on international heights.
