Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 Group A: Storylines and everything you need to know

Do you think you know everything about tomorrow's matches? Think again. Here's a look at the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 Group A, including all the storylines hidden in the confirmed matches.

DarkZero Esports vs. Team Secret

The defending Esports World Cup champions Team Secret will make their debut in the competition against the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions DarkZero Esports.

Last year, the American roster faced off twice against Team Secret; once at the Esports World Cup 2025 and once at the Six Invitational 2026.

In Riyadh, Team Secret secured a comfortable 2-0 win. Meanwhile, in Paris, the European lineup handed the astronauts a 1-2 defeat. As the saying goes, third time's the charm.

More interestingly, this clash hides a Brazilian derby between two coaches, Marlon "Twister" Mello and Arthur "TchubZ" Figueira. The eventual Six Mexico Major champion made his first steps in Rainbow Six Siege's ecosystem alongside Keyd Stars and FURIA. While representing the Black Panthers, TchubZ and Twister worked together.

After going different ways, a friendly rivalry grew between the two. For the third time since joining different regions, the two coaches will clash again.

All Gamers vs. CAG by VARREL

All Gamers and CAG by VARREL have never faced off in Rainbow Six Siege; therefore, no storylines link both teams. However, it's worth mentioning China's growth in the last nine months, with the recently-bornt region having won five of their twelve official clashes against APAC sides. In fact, during the play-ins, we saw TYLOO beating the Chiefs as the Chinese roster took down the Australians on Fortress.

So far, All Gamers is the only Chinese team to have beaten a non-APAC side; a 7-3 victory on Fortress against FURIA at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City.

Team Falcons vs. M80

Team Falcons and M80 will face off for the first time since they met at the BLAST R6 Major Munich grand final. Back then, M80 won the match and ended up lifting the trophy. However, that's not the most interesting storyline of the match.

All eyes will be set on Marc "jume" Steinmann and Lucas "Savage" Alves, who will face off for the first time since the Portuguese left Team Secret to play for M80 under Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten's orders. It's also widely accepted that Fabian was who discovered jume, as the German was part of the Swede's orgless roster Delta Project before joining Heroic.

Logically, jume and Savage clashing in their first game in the competition also means that two defending champions will be crossing paths in the first day of Phase 2 action.

Wildcard vs. Team Liquid Alienware

The BLAST R6 North America League 2026 Stage 1 champions will play against Team Liquid Alienware. As a brand, the Blue Cavalry is making a return to international heights after missing out on the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2025, the BLAST R6 Major Munich, the Six Invitational 2026, and the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City.

Whilst many fans will be looking forward to see what the Blue Cavalry can do on the international stage against the North American champions, the biggest storyline of the clash will happen behind the players; this will be Lorenzo "Lagonis" Volpi's first game against his former home Team Liquid since his retirement as a player.
