Overwatch 2 Season 17 is underway, and even though a G.I. Joe collaboration is taking place, this might not be the only crossover planned for the season.
It appears Blizzard is preparing a collaboration with Nerf, the famous toy brand specialized in dart weapons. While we wait for more news about this, we have gathered everything we know, along with a few speculations/predictions.
When is the Overwatch 2 x Nerf collaboration coming out?
A release date for the Overwatch 2 x Nerf collaboration hasn't been revealed. However, if we look at previous seasons, the second collaboration in a season usually drops after the midseason patch comes out.
The release date for the midseason update is a mystery, but it should arrive on July 22nd at the earliest. With that in mind, we believe the Nerf crossover event will kick off on that date or after that.
What can we expect from the Nerf event?
The first teaser for the Nerf collaboration appeared in the Season 17 trailer, where we can see some Nerf darts lying on a table from one of the spawn room ships.
Once Season 17 began, players started spotting the Nerf darts on several maps of the game. However, these teasers haven't revealed anything about the content we will see with the crossover.
We are expecting some sort of new skins, as that is always the case for these collaborations. If we were to guess, a new game mode where projectiles are replaced with Nerf darts is also one of our predictions, as that would fit the toy brand better.
