The Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin rumors are real. The popular virtual pop icon will be coming to the battle royale sooner rather than later as fans had hoped.

Following leaks suggesting Miku would join Fortnite, Epic Games confirmed the singer is joining to become a skin in the game after they added the singer's backpack as a cute easter egg on January 7.

When is Hatsune Miku coming to Fortnite?

Hatsune Miku will be coming to Fortnite on January 14, when Season 7 of Fortnite Festival kicks off. She will be this season's icon, meaning plenty of tracks and cosmetics within the Music Pass will be themed around her.

Here's the exciting part for fans of the virtual singer: there will be two Hatsune Miku skins available in Fortnite. The two skins are:

One will be initially exclusive to the Music Pass. The pass costs 1,400 V-Bucks. Since Epic Games changed how exclusivity works, this skin will later be released in the Fortnite Item Shop, but you'll have to wait at least 18 months for that.

Hatsune Miku is finally coming to Fortnite

The Neko Hatsune Miku will be the one directly sold via the Item Shop. At the moment we don't know the exact price, so better save those V-Bucks.

Do keep in mind that the Fortnite Crew subscription includes the Music Pass now so it might be worth it to invest in it in case you want to get your hands on the Fortnite Festival Miku skin.

At the moment, we don't know all the official cosmetics coming with the collaboration. However, we expect the usual assortment of back blings, pickaxes, emotes, tracks, and different skin styles.

According to leaks, between the two skins, Hatsune Miku could have up to six different styles.
