G2 Esports qualify for BLAST R6 Major Osaka and Six Invitational 2027

G2 Esports have qualified for both the BLAST R6 Major Osaka and the Six Invitational 2027 after beating Virtus.pro in the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs.

G2 Esports have already confirmed a Top 3 finish in this stage, meaning the samurai have also qualified for Osaka's Phase 2. In other words, the team have secured an extra 410 SI Points and mathematically clinched a spot to compete at the Six Invitational 2027 through the global standings.

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be G2 Esports' return to the international stage after missing out on the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. Next week, the samurai will play against Team Falcons for the chance to reach the region's grand final. Only a few weeks ago, G2 Esports had been beaten by the Falcons in a BO1 series on Villa.

G2 Esports' appearance at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be their second international appearance this season as they reached the Top 8 at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City. The team was sent back home by Shopify Rebellion in the quarterfinals.

So far, only G2 Esports and Team Falcons have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka. Meanwhile, G2 Esports have become the fourth team to qualify for the Six Invitational 2027 after FaZe Clan, DarkZero Esports, and Team Falcons.
