The Thunderbolts Cup was recently announced. It will give Fortnite players the ability to earn a unique White Widow Pen & Ink Fortnite skin inspired by the upcoming Marvel film The Thunderbolts.
While you'll be able to purchase the White Widow skin alongside The Winter Soldier via the Fortnite Item Shop, nothing beats free. So with that said, let's break down everything you need to know to participate in the Fortnite Thunderbolts Cup.
Fortnite Thunderbolts Cup schedule and format
The event will kick off on April 15. Like previous tournaments, the start times will be different depending on your region, so keep an eye on the in-game Fortnite tournament tab to check when you'll be able to enter.

As for the format, the Thunderbolts i Cup is a Duos event played in battle royale. That means no Zero Build event this time.
How to participate
To play in the Fortnite Thunderbolts Cup you simply need select the event in the Fortnite competitive tab as soon as the Cup starts and join the queue.
Something to keep in mind: you need to enable two-factor authentication. Furthermore, your account must be in "good standing" with Epic, meaning you need to have no undisclosed violations. Finally, you need to have a level 50 account to participate.
Scoring system
Like other Fortnite events, you'll have three hours to compete in a maximum of 10 matches. The scoring system is as follows:
- Victory Royale: 65 points
- 2nd: 56 points
- 3rd: 52 points
- 4th: 48 points
- 5th: 44 points
- 6th: 40 points
- 7th: 38 points
- 8th: 36 points
- 9th: 34 points
- 10th: 32 points
- 11th: 30 points
- 12th: 28 points
- 13th: 26 points
- 14th: 24 points
- 15th: 22 points
- 16th: 20 points
- 17th: 18 points
- 18th: 16 points
- 19th: 14 points
- 20th: 12 points
- 21st: 10 points
- 22nd: 8 points
- 23rd: 6 points
- 24th: 4 points
- 25th: 2 points
On top of that, each elimination grants 2 points.
Thunderbolts Cup rewards
The reward is the White Widow Pen & Ink skin that will be available on April 30 via the Fortnite Item Shop.
Depending on the region, the amount of winners changes:
The top placing teams will get the White Widow skin. However, there are more prizes up for grabs even if you don't manage to play high enough for the outfit.
