Fortnite has been the perfect crossover game, sometimes introducing fans to these characters for the very first time. Thanks to the Superman crossover, various heroes and villains from that film are going to be in the game, including The Engineer. As the character is set to debut in the movie, players will get the chance to use this relatively unknown villain soon.
DC’s upcoming Superman reboot is embracing some of the sillier comic book elements more, which is why we’re getting kaiju monsters and Krypto the Superdog. Introducing The Engineer through this film is going to do wonders for the character’s stock. Seeing her in Fortnite is going to be pretty rad.
Here’s everything we know about The Engineer appearing in Fortnite.
When will The Engineer debut in Fortnite?
According to leaker SpushFNBR, The Engineer will be available in the in-game shop on July 10 at 5:00 pm PT (July 11 at 1:00 AM BST) when the daily shop reset takes place.
It’s still wild seeing a character like The Engineer appear in a video game, but that’s the power of these epic crossover games. With more people watching the movie now, we imagine that many will either be a fan or a hater of the character. That should also lead to purchases, given how massive this movie is going to be.
How do you unlock The Engineer in Fortnite?
The previous leak claims that she is going to be available in the store and not part of an event. She will cost 1,500 V-Bucks.
Interestingly, buying this skin will also come with a version of her in LEGO Fortnite. That’s a nifty bonus and could get more players to pick it up. Plus, there’s just something fitting about a villain called The Engineer being playable in a LEGO game, given its roots in creating and fixing.
Does The Engineer come with other cosmetics?
Although it’s not explicitly stated to be part of the character, there are nanite-related cosmetics that will debut with The Engineer. Here are these cosmetics and their prices:
- Nanobot Flex emote: Included with The Engineer
- Nanite Booster backbling: 300 V-Bucks
- Super Ovation emote: 400 V-Bucks
How long will The Engineer be available in Fortnite?
While this information hasn’t been made available yet, we imagine she will be available until this Superman-themed season ends.
Like Mr. Terrific before her, fans should get her when they can before she becomes another ultra-rare crossover skin.
