Some lucky fans were able to get their hands on the Dragon Ball Fortnite skins to kick off 2025. Sadly, Epic Games has removed them from the Web Shop as their appearance was unintended.
In case you weren't aware, Fortnite players can look and purchase items from the shop without booting up the game thanks to the Web Shop. Oddly enough, some keen users noticed that the Dragon Ball skins didn't appear in-game but were obtainable via this alternate method.
In fact, prominent leaker HYPEX shared via social media this bizarre incident, sharing direct links to each skin so players could get their hands on them.
Unfortunately, Epic Games would later confirm that the skins were not intended to show up quite yet, removing them from the shop in the process. However, the developers did confirm the Dragon Ball bundles will return soon, without giving a specific timeframe.
Via the Fortnite Status X (formerly Twitter) account, the devs stated: "Some Dragon Ball items appeared available in the Web Shop ahead of their intended release date. We’ve removed them from the Shop for now, and they’ll return soon."
Dragon Ball fans will be spoilt for choice once the skins return, as there are a total of 12 skins inspired by the creation of legendary mangaka Akira Toriyama.
The first batch was introduced back in mid-2022 with Goku, Beerus, Vegeta, and Bulma joining the battle royale. Epic would continue to routinely add more outfits with Adult Gohan, Piccolo, Goku Black, Cell, and Frieza joining throughout 2023. Finally, Trunks, Android 17, and Android 18 joined in August 2024.
Dragon Ball skins will return soon
It's unclear whether all skins or just a select few will make a return, however, chances of brand-new ones being added seem to be rather slim, as no leakers have suggested this could be a real possibility.
In any case, while you wait for Dragon Ball to return, check out how to get the upcoming Godzilla skin.
