With the news that Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix isn’t expected to last long, many fans want to know when Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 starts. Although fans enjoy the nostalgic throwback and unlockables, there is a want for new content in the game. There’s a lot of chatter on what fans might expect for the next Season, hence, all the excitement.

Reliable leakers have claimed that the next Season of Epic Games’ shooter will bring the game back to its original roots. We don’t know if this is the official start of Chapter 6 Season 1 or another nostalgic throwback to the game’s older days. So with that in mind, here’s what we know about the new Season.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 Release Date

Since Chapter 2 Remix is expected to end on November 30, there’s a chance that Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will be coming out in early December. Because games like this always have a major maintenance period before the official release, fans will probably wait a day or two after Chapter 2 Remix ends.

Due to the limited nature of Chapter 2 Remix, players should maximize the time available with this limited-time event. Players are grinding their way through the game to get Snoop Dogg and Eminem, who are only available for a limited time.

New Mechanics

Renowned leaker Shiina has revealed some interesting details about this major Fortnite update. Shiina claims that Epic Games is going to add new gameplay mechanics that will freshen things for players. It will be interesting to see if this works, but players will appreciate the devs shaking up the formula.

New prone and swinging mechanics will be added for players who like to traverse around the world. Shiina’s post from X shows this is similar to classic platforming from Tomb Raider. Because this game already has mechanics like gliding and web-swinging, prone and pole swinging isn’t surprising.

Medallions are also getting reworked, though it wasn’t stated how. Currently, the game rewards players with these powered-up items after beating bosses. Fans will have to see if these will be more powerful than they are in the current game.

A “void” feature was also teased, but details are also vague. Leaks can only reveal so much, especially if there’s no gameplay to back it up.

OG Fortnite returns

Leakers claim that the original Fortnite will be returning in the next update. Reports claim previous Seasons will return monthly alongside their older rewards. It was also stated that the loot from older Seasons will return.

Even if this is being rebranded as the return of Chapter 1, it will technically be Chapter 6 Season 1. The game’s use of chapters is part of the overall story, despite what all of the cameos and guest stars will have players think.

Players are in for a long wait since Chapter 2 Remix just started and has a whole month to go. At the least, players can enjoy all of the new and old content until Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is available.

End date?

The most intriguing thing Shiina revealed is that Fortnite Chapter 6: Season 1 will end on February 21.

Seeing a leaked end date is surprising, especially since this update isn’t out. Because this was in the most recent update’s files, this could be a placeholder until a definitive date is decided.

If this is the end date, that means Epic Games is already thinking about the next Season of Fortnite. Considering how this is a game that can run forever, fans can expect to se this new details, eventually.
