Fortnite has unveiled Ballistic, the title's first-ever first-person shooter game mode. There, players will be divided into two teams of five players. While a team attacks, the other defends. The first team to win seven rounds wins!

Although Fortnite Ballistic will be released on December 11 and players still have no access to Epic Games' brand-new game mode, it's important to start familiarizing with the weapons and gadgets included.

Here's everything we know so far about the weapons included in Fortnite Ballistic's release!

Fortnite Ballistic weapons

As unveiled in Fortnite's official blog post, Ballistic's early access will include ten weapons. These are divided into the following categories:

  • Assault Rifles
  • Shotguns
  • Submachines
  • Snipers
  • Handguns

Here's a look at all of the weapon categories included in Fortnite Ballistic:

Assault Rifles

Fortnite Assault Rifles

Assault Rifles will likely be the most popular weapons in Fortnite Ballistic. These are great for both medium and long-distance gunfights. The versatility that players will find in these guns will be unmatched.

Shotguns

Shotguns will put you in a better position when facing short-distance gunfights. These will be your best ally if you play it slow and defend the site from corners.

Submachines

Submachine weapons offer the best of both worlds. These weapons are great for short and medium-distance gunfights. If you catch your enemy off-guard, you will probably get away with an easy kill.

Snipers

Snipers are a category where only a small group of people excel. Avoid this category if you don't like holding positions for a long while and your aim isn't the greatest.

Looking at the outline of Skyline 10, we can see Snipers being a great weapon as some parts of the map seem to be long. However, to use Snipers, you will have to get yourself some good cover.

Handguns

Last but not least, players will also have access to Handguns, also known as Pistols. These are perfect when your primary weapon has run out of bullets or for short-distance gunfights.

How to get weapons in Fortnite Ballistic?

In Fortnite Ballistic, players will be able to get weapons and gadgets in two different ways: purchasing them or picking them up from the map.

To purchase weapons, Fortnite Ballistic players will have to spend Credits. At the start of the match, players will be given 800 Credits. To get more Credits, players will have to eliminate their opponents and plant the Rift Point Device. Players will be able to spend the Credits at the beginning of the round.

If you stay alive and your team wins the round, you will be able to keep your gear and shields for the next one. Keeping your economy healthy will be crucial to win the match!

Additionally, players will be able to use smoke grenades and stun grenades, as well as one flex gadget chosen at the start of the round — Proximity Mine, Bubble Shield, Recon Grenade, Frag Grenade, or Impulse Grenade.

Fortnite's Ballistic will include a Ranked and an Unranked playlist. If you want to stay up-to-date with all the news about Fortnite and Ballistic, don't forget to bookmark the site and follow us through our social media pages.
