Although it's already been a week since the arrival of Fortnite's Chapter 6, Epic Games' title keeps delivering. On December 6, Fortnite released Fortnite OG, a throwback to the game's first days. While nostalgia-driven fans will be glad to experience Fortnite OG, a new game mode is to be released in the upcoming days.
Today, Fortnite has revealed Ballistic, a 5v5 First Person shooter. This news is unprecedented, as this will be Fortnite's first-ever FPS competitive game mode.
Fortnite's Ballistic will be released on December 11 in early access quality and it will include Ranked and Unranked playlists.
Fortnite's Ballistic game mode will include one map called Skyline 10. There, players will be divided into two teams of five members each. While one team attacks, the other team will defend.
Just like in other FPS games, the attackers will have to plant a device at one of the two sites on the map. In Fortnite's Ballistic game mode, this device will be called Rift Point Device.
Fortnite's Ballistic Matches will be divided into two halves with six rounds each. After the conclusion of the first half, the roles will be swapped as the attackers will defend and vice-versa.
With Fortnite Ballistic being released in early access quality, players shouldn't expect a wide range of weapons and gadgets. While the only playable map will be the previously mentioned Skyline 10, players will have access to ten weapons and seven gadgets. These will be acquired through an economy system called Credits.
