1. DarkZero Took the Major and the Odds Moved
Beat FaZe 2-1 in the semifinal. Shopify Rebellion 3-1 in the Grand Final. Salt Lake City in May. Nobody outside the DarkZero camp saw that result coming. A decent NAL roster with a ceiling nobody had tested, and suddenly the ceiling was a Major trophy.
What It Means for Wagering
Fultz doesn't panic in elimination rounds. You can watch the comms footage and he sounds bored even when they're down a round. Bettors who had DarkZero at long odds before the Major won't find those numbers again. Can they do it twice with a two-month break in between? Different question. No answer yet.
2. FaZe Clan Won Two Invitationals but the Form Dipped
Back-to-back SI champions. Beat Team Secret 3-1 in Paris in February. VITAKING, handyy, Cyber. Trophies everywhere.
DarkZero knocked them out at the Major. LOUD beat them in the SAL a few days ago. Two losses in a month after months of winning everything. The odds haven't caught up. FaZe stay short on every platform partly out of habit. Bettors pick the name they know. If the SAL qualification run looks rough, though. That's when you start looking at the longer number.
3. Team Secret Got the Invite but Lost Three Players
Defending EWC champions. Automatic ticket to Paris. Comfortable, right? Except Adrian left for Wildcard. jume went to Falcons. Savage signed with M80. Mowwwgli and Noa are the only two who stayed. That's it. Two out of five.
Three New Starters Since February
CTZN and Nafe came in from the GB scene. Didn't work. Replaced by Flexy and Oscr from former Team Heretics, plus Drillz. Through 1xbet and other betting platforms you'll see Team Secret somewhere in the middle of the board. Makes sense. A roster defending a title it won with three different players isn't easy to put a number on.
4. Team Falcons Knocked Out G2 and Added jume
Won Clubhouse and Nighthaven Labs after dropping Consulate 2-7. That's how they booked the Paris ticket. jume carried on Clubhouse. Five months ago he was lifting the EWC trophy with Team Secret. Now he's on the other side of that bracket.
LikEfac and BriD have been at this level before. SI 2026, Falcons reached the lower bracket semis before getting stopped. People keep discounting them. The MENA tag does that. Odds stay longer than they should, and jume landing on this roster only makes the gap between the odds and the actual strength wider.
5. Shopify Rebellion Lost the Final but Earned the Spot
Lost to DarkZero 1-3 in the Grand Final. Getting there, though. Beat Twisted Minds. Survived a bracket with half the NAL in it. Spoit fragged at a ridiculous level through all of Stage 1.
Still need to qualify through the NAL bracket. M80 or 100 Thieves in the lower rounds look winnable but nothing's guaranteed in a bracket this loaded. The Final loss is what the odds will remember. The five maps Shopify won to get there? Probably not priced in. That's the gap.
