Microsoft has announced the next wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass and the list includes a new Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2 (2022). The sequel to Modern Warfare (2019) will be the third title from the popular shooter franchise to join the subscription service.
Ever since Microsoft acquired Activision, many fans have been patiently waiting for the shooter titles' inclusion. Although we have seen old games being added to the Microsoft Store in recent days, prompting speculation about their Game Pass inclusion, Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is the next one on the list.
This is the latest Infinity Ward-lead title in the franchise, released back in October 2022, along with the current iteration of Warzone
The game will be added on May 1st and will be available for all players who own a Game Pass Ultimate subscription on console or a PC Game Pass subscription on PC. MW2 will also be available through Xbox Cloud Gaming for those who have access to the feature.

This means the subscription service will now offer the three latest titles in the franchise, Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 3 (2023), and Modern Warfare 2 (2022), but there is still no news about the arrival of classic titles.
Once we have more information about it, we will make sure to report it. Now that Season 3 is live in Black Ops 6/Warzone and with Verdansk back in play, you can check out our loadout guides on meta weapons like the Kilo 141, Grau, or the CR-56 AMAX.
