Call of Duty 2025, also rumored to be Black Ops 7, is coming, and a new rumor suggests the game will implement changes to the rewards battle pass owners get.
According to leaker TheGhostOfHope on X, the new title will offer more limited-time modes during its post-launch cycle, but some won't be available to everyone.
Unlike how it is right now, some modes with "unique rewards and different game mechanics" will only be accessible for players who own the premium seasonal battle pass.
The leaker went on to say that Activision and Treyarch are planning to put the high-tier skins, loot, and crossover operators as rewards for these LTMs instead of continuing the Black Ops 6 format.

Black Ops 6 has had three crossover events with their own mini battle pass so far, offering cosmetics related to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Squid Game show, and even the actor/producer Seth Rogen, who now has his own operator.
However, this means that players have to spend extra cash to receive those rewards beyond the normal seasonal pass. On top of all, not all the cosmetics from the event are usually available through these mini passes, as others can only be purchased through the shop, like the TMNT operators.
The leaker didn't mention anything about a price increase to the season pass. We will have to wait for more information and see if this format change will be more beneficial for the players in the long run.
