FaZe Clan have revealed the signing in loan capacity of the Natus Vincere player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev. It will be the Ukranian's third loan experience in Counter Strike 2 after his two short stays in Team Falcons in March 2024 and between September and November 2024.
During his loan in FaZe Clan, s1mple is expected to take part in the IEM Dallas 2025 and the Austin Major. He will take the spot of Helvijs "broky" Saukants, who was benched earlier today.
FaZe Clan ended 2024 with a second-place finish at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 after a 1-2 defeat against Team Spirit. Since then, FaZe Clan have struggled to compete as expected internationally, with the team's best performances being Top 4 finishes at the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 and the PGL Bucharest 2025.
FaZe Clan's most recent showing was at the BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. The team's 1-1 record in the group stage included a harsh 0-2 defeat against Team Falcons and a 2-0 win against FlyQuest — with a 22-18 victory on Nuke. Later on, the team was knocked down by MOUZ.
FaZe Clan's debut with s1mple will come at the IEM Dallas 2025. Only two weeks later, the team will compete at the Austin Major, a tournament with a prize pool of USD$1.25M.
