BLAST R6 Major Osaka: Everything you need to know

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be Rainbow Six Siege's third international event of Year 11 following the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City and the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. It will also be the first Rainbow Six Siege international event played on Asian soil; the last one was played in November 2019 in Tokoname, Japan, as the city hosted the PL Season 10 Finals.

Osaka will offer teams a final chance to add more SI Points to qualify for the Six Invitational 2027. So far, only FaZe Clan, the back-to-back world champions, have qualified for the game's biggest event of the calendar.

Here's everything you need to know about the BLAST R6 Major Osaka:

Calendar and venue

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be played in Osaka, Japan, from November 6 to November 15.

The play-in stage will be played from November 6 to November 7. Then, the Swiss Stage will take place between November 8 and November 11. Finally, the playoffs will be played from November 13 to November 15.

The final three days of the tournament will be played in front of a crowd at the ATC Hall. The venue has a capacity of up to 3,600 people. Tickets for the event have already sold out.

Format

The format that will be used at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka isn't any different to the one used at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City.

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will include 20 teams; 12 will directly qualify for the Swiss Stage while the remaining 8 will have to play an initial play-in stage. By the conclusion of the play-in phase, the four surviving teams will join the other 12 rosters in the Swiss Stage.

The Swiss Stage will start with a high-paced first day as all teams will play two BO1 games. In Day 2 of the Swiss Stage, most teams will already be playing for promotion to the playoffs or to avoid elimination. In Day 3, all teams will be playing for either. Finally, Day 4 will dictate what are the final teams to reach the playoffs and what teams are sent home.

Last but not least, the playoffs will include eight teams. The bracket will use a single-elimination format with BO3 matches. The grand final will be a BO5 series.

Prizepool

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka prizepool is divided into two; economic prizepool and SI Points. Here's how much each position has to offer:

• 1st: USD$200.000 and 1,500 SI Points
• 2nd: USD$102.000 and 1,200 SI Points
• 3rd and 4th: USD$50.000 and 1,050 SI Points
• 5th to 8th: USD$22.000 and 900 SI Points
• 9th to 11th: USD$16.000 and 500 SI Points
• 12th to 16th: USD$10.000 and 350 SI Points
• 17th to 20th: USD$3.000 and 250 SI Points
