BLAST R6 Major Osaka: All qualified teams so far

Here's a look at the teams that will be in Osaka.

G2 Esports

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be played from November 6 to November 15, 2026. It will be the final BLAST R6 Major of the season and the teams' final chance to earn SI Points to qualify for the Six Invitational 2027.

The tournament will include 20 teams; four from Europe and MENA, North America, South America, and China each, two from the Asian sub-region, and one from the Oceanic and the APAC North sub-regions each.

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be divided into three phases: Play-Ins, Swiss Stage, and Playoffs. The Playoffs will be the only part of the tournament played in front of a crowd, as the final seven matches will be played in Osaka's ATC Hall.

So far, only four teams have been confirmed to compete at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka. Throughout this week, thirteen more teams will be added to this list.

Here's a look at the four confirmed teams:

G2 Esports

G2 Esports qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after beating Virtus.pro at the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs.

The samurai's best-ever finish at a Six Major was eight years ago, when the Berlin-based esports powerhouse won the Six Paris Major. Since then, the team produced some more deep runs. The last time they were so close to lifting the trophy was at the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen, played in May 2023.

Earlier this season, G2 Esports reached the Top 8 at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City. Their performance in Utah combined with their results in their home region are already enough to mathematically secure themselves a spot at the Six Invitational 2027.

G2 Esports' most popular player is Zack "Stompn" Lamb, who was named as Year 10's Rookie of the Year. The American has been G2 Esports' second-best player of the stage with an average SiegeGG rating of 1.23. He's only surpassed by Benjamin "Benjamaster" Dereli, who currently averages a SiegeGG rating of 1.25.

Team Falcons

Team Falcons qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after beating Geekay Esports at the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs.

Team Falcons' best-ever finish at a Six Major was one year ago, when the team reached the BLAST R6 Major Munich grand final. Unfortunately for the players and their fans, they lost the final game against M80. However, Team Falcons' core, including Théo "LikEfac" Mariano and Loïc "BriD" Chongthep, won the Six Jönköping Major—the last Major played before BLAST took over Rainbow Six Siege's esports scene.

Historically, Team Falcons' roster have been close to winning a BLAST R6 Major edition three times. Before the arrival of Marc "jume" Steinmann, who signed for the lineup to replace Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu, the team reached the BLAST R6 Major Manchester and the BLAST R6 Major Montreal grand finals before doing the same in Munich. All of those runs ended in defeat.

In other words, whilst Team Falcons haven't been able to transform either of those deep runs in victory, they are a well-experienced team that has the potential to lift the trophy. Only a few months ago, the players reached the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City quarterfinals, where they lost to the back-to-back world champions FaZe Clan.

Virtus.pro

Virtus.pro qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after beating Twisted Minds at the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs. The Bears had previously lost to G2 Esports but confirmed their spot in Japan in the Lower Bracket.

After a rough Year 10, Virtus.pro got back to regularly qualifying for international competitions after expanding their roster, going from a complete Russian lineup to a mix of Russian and French. The project is led by the Six Sweden Major champion César "Dark" Adriano.

Virtus.pro's best result at a BLAST R6 Major is a Top 4 finish at the BLAST R6 Major Montreal. After missing out on the BLAST R6 Major Munich, the team made a return to international heights with a Top 11 finish at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City. Now, the team aims at improving the result to mathematically qualify for the Six Invitational 2027.

Geekay Esports

Geekay Esports qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka after beating Shifters at the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs. The team had previously lost to Team Falcons in the Upper Bracket and ended up qualifying for the event after a thrilling 2-1 win against the Swiss esports powerhouse.

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be Geekay Esports' first appearance at a BLAST R6 Major since featuring at the BLAST R6 Major Manchester. Back then, the team couldn't survive the Phase 1.

Geekay Esports is one of the teams that has grown the most since the start of the season. The team started the year with a negative result in the region's Kickoff as they couldn't qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City. After the additions of the former Team Heretics duo Dawid "Gruby" Marciniak and Harvey "Eupor" Hawkins as well as the signing of the former M80, XSET, and Oxygen Esports player Evan "Yoggah" Nelson, Geekay Esports' results have improved a lot. The team reached the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 semifinals and have now qualified for Osaka.
