The BLAST R6 Asia League 2026 Stage 1 reached the playoffs following Weibo Gaming's 7-3 victory against Daystar. With an unbeaten record of seven regulation wins and no defeats, the Asian super team is, undoubtedly, the favorite side to represent the region in Paris, France, at the Esports World Cup 2026.
Whilst Weibo Gaming may be favorites, there's always room for upsets. In fact, Daystar managed to shock Elevate's Brazilian roster in Stage 2 as the Taiwanese roster qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Munich. Additionally, teams are still in the fight to add more SI Points to their respective scores. In short, there's plenty at stake.
Here's a look at how the playoff bracket looks like, as well as stats of all players involved:
Weibo Gaming

As we already mentioned, Weibo Gaming have been the league's best side by a mile. Four of Weibo's players are among the league's Top 10 with the only exception of Wu "Reeps96" Weichen, whose in 11th with a SiegeGG rating of 1.14.
Weibo Gaming's best player in the group phase has been Aldi "Hovenherst" Firmansyah with a SiegeGG rating of 1.60 in seven maps. He currently has the best K-D, the second-best entry balance, and the second-best KOST.
Taylor "Terd" Cheng is in second place in the league with a SiegeGG rating of 1.45. His numbers are similar to the ones scored by his teammate, as he currently owns the second-best K-D, the third-best KOST, and the best KOST.
It's also worth noting Mohamed "Speakeasy" Yunos and Park "Gotti" Geon-Woo's efforts, who averaged SiegeGG ratings of 1.21 and 1.20, respectively. The South Korean has perfectly adapted to the team, who have yet to lose a map with the former Four Angry Men player in the team.
Daystar

Daystar are the only side in the league who has been able to closely follow Weibo Gaming's footsteps. The Taiwanese roster's only defeat came against Weibo Gaming as they managed to beat the rest of the sides in the division. With international experience at the Six Invitational 2026 and the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City, this squad could cause some problems to Weibo Gaming; even though, again, the Asian super roster is the big favorite to clinch the region's spot at the Esports World Cup 2026.
Similarly, four of Daystar's players finished among the league's Top 15, with Cai "Souffle" Hong-ting being the best in the squad with a SiegeGG rating of 1.25. The only player in the team who finished with a negative SiegeGG rating was the team's most recent signing Hau "Yao" Zhih-yao, as he averaged a SiegeGG rating of 0.88.
Team Orchid

If Daystar only lost to Weibo Gaming, Team Orchid only lost to the league's big two. The Thai roster started the group phase with a 7-3 victory against their fellows HL Tauri Esports, but got back-to-back 3-7 defeats against Daystar and Weibo Gaming. Since then, the team has yet to lose a match, moving from sixth to third in four games.
Team Orchid's best player has been Kritsanai "KritJ" Saemsub with a SiegeGG rating of 1.20. He has been the team's most effective player. The Thai's experienced roster seems to be far from Weibo Gaming but they are likely to give Daystar a tough fight for the region's second place, which awards 300 SI Points.
Soul's Heart Esports

Soul's Heart Esports barely reached the playoffs after only scorring 11 points, four less than Team Orchid, seven less than Daystar, and ten less than Weibo Gaming. Moreover, their final match of the group phase against playoff contenders PSYKN Company, saw them bouncing back from a 3-6 score. Their overtime victory against the Asian mix was what made the difference between being in the fight and missing out on the playoffs.
Unlike the rest of teams in the bracket, Soul's Heart Esports has a player that has got way better results than the rest; that's Elevate's former player Sumate "i9" Srimabut. The Thai player averaged a SiegeGG rating of 1.21, which makes him the sixth-highest rated player in the league. The rest of his teammates have SiegeGG ratings of 1.02 and below.
Playoff games
The BLAST R6 Asia League 2026 Stage 1 Playoffs will kick off on July 7, 2026, when Weibo Gaming meet Soul's Heart Esports. In the second match of the day, Daystar and Team Orchid will face off as the winner will move to the next round.
The playoff will follow a double-elimination system, meaning teams will have two opportunities. After losing one game, they will be at risk of elimination. All of the matches will be played in a BO3 format.
Realistically, only a truly shocking upset would see Weibo Gaming missing out on the first seed. Last season, Weibo Gaming secured the region's top seed in every stage, and the same happened earlier this year during Kickoff. Moreover, Weibo Gaming's core has never missed out on the Esports World Cup, reaching the Top 8 in both editions; in 2024 as Bleed Esports and in 2025 as Weibo Gaming.
Finally, it's important to highlight that the winner of the playoffs will also take 420 SI Points. As Weibo Gaming started the split with 890 SI Points following the team's Top 11 finish at the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City, the roster's Top 4 finish in Stage 1 means they already own 1,090 SI Points. In other words, they are in a very solid position to represent Asia a the Six Invitational 2027. Daystar currently sit in 16th place with 625 SI Points.
