Battlefield 6 campaign: Will we finally fight something other than lag?

Battlefield 6

With Battlefield 6's multiplayer reveal event close, excitement is building among fans, and they are also wondering if the game will include a single-player campaign.

After the previously released Battlefield 2042 skipped the traditional story mode in favor of a fully multiplayer experience, many longtime followers of the franchise are hoping this mode will return in the upcoming entry.

Does Battlefield 6 have a campaign?

The answer to this is YES, Battlefield 6 will include a full single-player campaign.

The development is being led by Criterion, popular for its high-octane storytelling in racing games, with some support from Motive, the studio behind the Dead Space remake.

The new campaign mode will revolve around a global fight between NATO and a powerful breakaway faction called Pax Armata, with confirmed missions including intense battles in Gibraltar, Belgium, and Georgia.

This new campaign draws its inspiration from previously released Battlefield 3 & 4, aiming to offer a cinematic and character-driven experience. Players can also expect massive set pieces, grounded realism, and an overachieving narrative that is filled with betrayal and high-stakes warfare.

This will definitely mark the franchise's first full-length campaign since they introduced Battlefield 4 in 2013. Added with four studios—DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect—Battlefield 6's campaign could be one of the best the series has ever attempted.
