An old and annoying bug has resurfaced in Apex Legends, preventing players from checking their inventory and going to the store.

This is frustrating since these aspects of the game are vital, giving gamers the chance to buy cosmetics and emotes, among other things. While there are workarounds for this issue, players have been dealing with this for a long time.

Depending on who you ask, these inventory and store bugs have bothered users for a few months or even a year. It might seem minor in practice, but players who just want to look at their inventory or purchase something in-store are annoyed. Until EA and Respawn patch out this issue, here’s what we know about getting past these bugs.

How to fix the inventory and store bug in Apex Legends

Leaker and content creator HYPERMYST went on X (formerly Twitter) and suggested a workaround for this error.

Gamers simply have to go on the Apex Legends settings menu and change the resolution, before defaulting to what they’re comfortable with. At the time of writing, this is a temporary move.

Console players like That_Odd_Boi say you can also fix this bug by leveling up your Battle Pass once during a session. Simply play some games and complete objectives in the pass so that it can level up and players can then access these sections.

Unfortunately, this is another temporary solution as various users have claimed that they get logged out again when restarting their system.

Hotfix incoming?

At the time of writing, Respawn Entertainment has not announced a hotfix for this Apex Legends bug. Fans claim that this bug has been around for many months so it not being fixed is odd. This issue will hopefully be fixed in a hotfix or major update, but only time will tell.

Bugs like this are common in live service games. Updating online-only games regularly that rely on internet access can lead to bugs like these, due to one change or another. Many players are used to mistakes like this, but they are still bothersome.
