BLAST R6 APAC North 2026 Stage 2 Week 2 Roundup - CAG by VARREL and Dplus KIA keep going strong, SCARZ still close, and more!

The BLAST R6 APAC North 2026 Stage 2 League Phase will reach its equator this weekend, giving fans a better idea of what team could represent the region at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka.

So far, CAG by VARREL and Dplus KIA are the favorites to do so. The Japanese and the Brazilian lineups top the standings with nine points each. Given that they won't face off until September 25, it feels like the tie won't be broken until then.

SCARZ is their most immediate chaser as the Japanese lineup is still unbeaten. However, the team sits in third place as one of their three wins is an overtime victory.

Finally, BNK FEARX and KINOTROPE gaming will likely have a fierce battle for the final playoff spot. The South Koreans have taken the lead as they secured an overtime win against the Japanese in the first week of action. However, KINOTROPE gaming could bounce back.

Here's a look at the BLAST R6 APAC North 2026 Stage 2 after the first three playdays of the stage:

CAG by VARREL and DPlus KIA domination

CAG by VARREL and DPlus KIA are the current-best teams in the region by quite a distance. The Japanese lineup completed an almost-perfect week with back-to-back 7-1 victories against RRX and BNK FEARX. Meanwhile, the Brazilians took down Can You Be My Enemy and KINOTROPE gaming with 7-3 and 7-2 scores, respectively.

Following the first three matches of the stage, seven of the ten best players in the league play at either CAG by VARREL and Dplus KIA. The other three play for SCARZ, who currently sit in third place and are also still unbeaten.

Shuuhei "ShuReap" Yaguchi sits at the top of the standings with a SiegeGG rating of 1.56 across the first three maps of the tournament. With a K-D of 30-12 (+18) and an entry balance of 5-0 (+5), the Japanese has kept his momentum from the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. It's also worth mentioning that he still has a perfect KOST, which means he has contributed to his team in every one of the rounds CAG by VARREL has played in Stage 2.

The remaining two players from CAG by VARREL inside the tournament's Top 10 are Reon "Anitun" Sakai and Ryuya "Chibisu" Hamasita, who have the second and fifth-highest SiegeGG ratings, 1.48 and 1.37, respectively.

Meanwhile, Dplus KIA has got four players in the Top 10, including Kaique "Faallz" Moreira, Ronaldo "ion" Osawa, Juliano "Levy" Andrade, and Dyjair "Mity" Soares.

SCARZ still unbeaten after Week 2

Whilst CAG by VARREL undoubtedly are the favorites in Japan, SCARZ don't want to be left out from their home Major either. The Japanese lineup currently sit in third place with 8 points, only one behind CAG by VARREL and Dplus KIA.

So far, SCARZ claimed two one-sided wins against TRIPPY and Can You Be My Enemy. However, their match against KINOTROPE gaming went to overtime after a huge comeback by SCARZ's opposition.

On paper, CAG by VARREL are the favorites to take APAC North's only Major spot to compete in Osaka. Despite the Cyclops' favoritism, most viewers still include Dplus KIA in the picture. The truth is that SCARZ should be there too; however, it would be a big upset if they made it to Osaka rather than CAG by VARREL or Dplus KIA.

BNK FEARX still far from Top 3 despite improvement

BNK FEARX have improved a bit after the transfer window, which saw the South Koreans signing Kim "JLT" Sang-woo and Zachary "Nyx" Thomas. Despite a slight improvement, which saw the team start the stage with victories against KINOTROPE gaming and TRIPPY, the South Koreans were demolished by CAG by VARREL as the Japanese secured a 7-1 win against the yellow roster.

Next week, BNK FEARX will play against RRX and DPlus KIA. Whilst the first one is a must win for the South Korean team, the second one should be the hardest test; however, a victory against their archenemies would massively boost their hopes towards a qualification for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka.

Awful start for KINOTROPE gaming

KINOTROPE gaming's chances of qualifying for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka were heavily reduced after their defeats against BNK FEARX, SCARZ, and Dplus KIA. By the conclusion of the second week, the Japanese team has only got two points and currently sit on sixth place.

On paper, the Japanese could still reach the Top 4 as they have yet to play against the three weakest sides in the tournament, including TRIPPY, Can You Be My Enemy, and RRX. However, their final match will be against CAG by VARREL, the favorites to take the first seed in APAC North.

At the time of writing, Yuuya "Aokayu" Okazaki is the best KINOTROPE gaming player with a SiegeGG rating of 1.00. The rest of his teammates have negative SiegeGG ratings. Despite the underwhelming start, we think KINOTROPE gaming will bounce back this weekend as they will be playing against Can You Be My Enemy and RRX.
