Marvel Rivals latest resource can be a bit confusing to acquire. If you’re here, chances are you’re also wondering how to get Unstable Molecules to customize your character’s favorite skin.

What Are Unstable Molecules?

At its core, Unstable Molecules is a new resource in Marvel Rivals that allows players to recolor select skins.

It’s essential if you want to change the color scheme of supported cosmetics, making your favorite heroes stand out even more.

How to Get Unstable Molecules in Marvel Rivals

To obtain Unstable Molecules, you first need to purchase a skin that supports Custom Skins. Once that’s done, you can convert your purchased Lattice into Unstable Molecules.

The exchange rate is 1:1, meaning 600 Lattice equals 600 Unstable Molecules.

After the conversion, you’ll be able to purchase your preferred color scheme in the Custom Skins tab.

Important: You must own the supported skin before you can buy Unstable Molecules. They’re not available for direct purchase otherwise.

What Are Custom Skins?

Custom Skins are Marvel Rivals’ latest addition to their cosmetic system. Think of them as recolors, giving you the ability to swap the color palette of your favorite skins.

Currently, only four skins support this feature:

  • Winter Soldier’s Blood Soldier Skin
  • Magik’s Punkchild Skin
  • Luna Snow’s Mirae 2099 Skin
  • Psylocke’s Vengeance Skin

Are More Custom Skins Coming?

Yes. NetEase has confirmed that more Custom Skins will be available in future updates.

For now, only the four skins above support recolors. But with Marvel Rivals shifting to a monthly seasonal model, expect more customizable options in the near future, as long as NetEase maintains its current content cadence.
