Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol is the latest event in Marvel Rivals, and it’s by far the game’s most exciting gameplay addition since Doom Match. What makes this new mode stand out is that it’s a limited-time event that borrows from the popular Auto-Battler genre and blends it seamlessly into the Marvel Rivals format. It has a handful of rewards such as the Ultron-1 Spray and two unlockable Emojis.
How to get the Ultron-1 spray and ‘Acceptable’ emoji
To get the Ultron-1 Spray, all you need to do is play three matches. For the ‘Acceptable’ Emoji, you’ll need to complete ten matches.
Ultron Matrix Protocol Rewards
It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose, just finishing the match is enough. Each match lasts about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your builds.
How to get the ‘Think, Human!’ Ultron emoji
To unlock the ‘Think, Human!’ Ultron Emoji, players need to earn 2,000 points in the Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol Event.
You’ll gain points just by playing, whether you place last or first. However, the higher you rank in a match, the more points you’ll earn.
This special emoji is great for friendly banter with your team, and it also serves as a little badge of honor, showing you’ve conquered Marvel Rivals’ newest challenge.
How does Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol event work?
Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol is an Auto-Battler mode, similar to Valve’s Dota Underlords or Riot’s Teamfight Tactics.
In this mode, you take control of an Ultron bot and command a team of six heroes from the Marvel Rivals roster, but you won’t directly control them. They fight automatically, both offensively and defensively. As an Ultron bot, all you can do is Heal your team and deal damage to enemies.

The key, just like in other Auto-Battlers, is to upgrade and optimize your team. Choosing the right buffs and upgrades is essential to outsmart your opponents. What you prioritize, whether it’s defense, healing, or damage, can vary each match and will often determine the outcome.
To win in Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol, you’ll need to be the last player standing out of six. Even if you don’t place first, you’ll still earn points, but the top spot offers the biggest rewards.

Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol Event runs from June 6 to June 22, 2025.

Unfortunately, this mode isn’t permanent, but if it proves popular, there’s a chance NetEase may consider making it part of the regular game modes.
