The leaks were right, and a new Asgardian is joining the action in Marvel Rivals. Of course, we are talking about Angela. She will become the 42nd playable character of the game, expanding the pool of available heroes, and arriving before the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
Now that the character's gameplay trailer has been officially revealed, we have gathered all the important details we know so far.
When does Angela come out in Marvel Rivals?
Angela will be the launch hero for Season 4 of Marvel Rivals. This means the character is scheduled to come out on Friday, September 12.
A maintenance period is scheduled to take place at 2:00 AM PT (10:00 AM BST) and it will last between 2 to 3 hours. Once the maintenance is over, players will be able to enjoy all the new Season 4 content, including the new hero.
Angela's role and abilities
Angela will be a Vanguard hero, being the 11th character in the role. As shown in her gameplay trailer, which you can see below, she will be a flying hero capable of pushing away enemy heroes:
While airborne, Angela will have a spear-like weapon and a certain set of abilities. However, when she's on the ground, she will switch to her double axes and become a melee hero.
When using her ultimate, Angela throws a spear that will get planted on the ground, and all the enemy heroes within its nearby radius will get trapped, leaving them exposed to any attacks or other ultimates as they will stay in one place.
Angela's Team Ups
When Season 4 begins, a new Team-Up called Divine Armory will be added to the game, and it includes both Thor and Angela, which was expected, given that they're siblings. When the Team-Up is on, Thor can throw one of Angela's spears, and it will recharge his Thorforce, which can then be used to jump onto where the spear landed.
Angela's skins
Apart from the base skin, an Angela 2099 skin will be added to the shop once Season 4 launches, and you can see it below:
Another skin available will be a recolor of her base skin called Cerulean Lightbringer. The skin will cost 600 Units and you can take a look at it below:
