Roadmap
This is the roadmap for Season 6, which highlights all the major additions coming throughout the following weeks:

New map variants
The season will bring a spin to the two main maps in Warzone: Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Each map will receive a night variant, making them more appropriate for this season's theme.

New weapons
The game is also receiving four new weapons during this season, and here is the complete list along with some extra details:

- Dresden 9mm (SMG): Available at launch through the battle pass
- Merrick 556 (Assault Rifle): Available at launch through the battle pass
- Chainsaw (Melee): Available in-season as an event reward
- X52 Resonator (Special): Available in-season as an event reward
New modes
Two new modes are also coming to the game, and you might be familiar with one of them. Zombie Royale will go live sometime in the season, and it will be available in Verdansk, introducing some new features.
The mode starts as a normal battle royale on the night variant of Verdansk, but at certain intervals during the match, an infestation event will bring back all eliminated players as zombies.
Zombies can turn back into survivors by taking the special Anti-Virus spread across the map. All teams, both zombies and survivors, must collaborate to eliminate the other teams, just like in a normal battle royale match. The last squad with at least one non-zombie operator wins.
Here is a list of all the new features that have been implemented into the mode for this year:
- Zombie ability: Mimic - Inspired by Prop Hunt, zombies can now disguise themselves as an item within the environment.
- Zombie ability: EMP - Disrupt the living and their gear with an area-of-effect attack that destroys equipment and disables vehicles and HUDs within its blast radius while additionally stunning and slowing down nearby human Operators.
- Map-wide feature: Portals - Traverse large distances in the blink of an eye through portals placed throughout the map.
- Field Upgrade: Haunted Box - Found in Supply Boxes or dropped by eliminated Operators, the Haunted Box dispenses items like armor, ammo, equipment, and rare items. You could get jumpscared by this item.
Casual Z is the second mode coming to the game and it can be played on both night versions of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. This is a classic battle royale variation where zombies are roaming the map, and there is also bot players, besides the normal human ones.
