The Valorant Masters Toronto is the second international top flight event of the VCT 2025 season. After T1 won the Valorant Masters Bangkok, teams have another chance to earn international glory and secure more VCT Points.
With the competition's beginning being just around the corner, here's everything you need to know about the Valorant Masters Toronto:
Location and venue
The Valorant Masters Toronto will be played in Toronto, Canada. The venue chosen to hold the competition is the Enercare Centre.
Dates
The Valorant Masters Toronto will be played between June 7 and June 22. Here's when each phase will be played:
- Swiss Stage: June 7 to June 11
- Playoffs: June 13 to June 22

Format
The Valorant Masters Toronto will be divided into a Swiss Stage and a Playoffs stage.
The four champions of each region will automatically qualify for the Playoffs. Meanwhile, the other eight teams will have to compete in the Swiss Stage first.
The Swiss Stage will require teams to win two matches. The best four teams in the Swiss Stage (records of 2-0 or 2-1) will qualify for the Playoffs, while the last four (records of 1-2 or 0-2) will be eliminated.
The Playoffs will be a double-elimination bracket with BO3 matches. The Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final will be BO5 series.

The Valorant Masters Toronto will kick off on June 7 with the Swiss Stage, which will be played until June 11. Meanwhile, the Playoffs will be played between June 13 and June 22.

Prize pool
The Valorant Masters Toronto includes a economical prize pool of USD$1M. Additionally, teams will also play to earn VCT Points.

G2 Esports
Despite being an ascension team it's fair to say G2 Esports have earned a spot in Valorant's top flight. The Valorant Masters Bangkok grand finalists and VCT 2025 Americas Stage 1 champions undoubtedly are one of the favorites to win the Valorant Masters Toronto, especially considering the lack of well-experienced teams.
However, to become champions, G2 Esports will surely have to overcome a challenge: Tejo's nerf. The Americans relied a lot on the Colombian agent, with Trent "trent" Cairns using the Initiator in all of their VCT 2025 Americas Satge 1 matches. With Tejo being tweaked before the start of the Valorant Masters Toronto, it will be interesting to see how G2 Esports adapts to the change.
Sentinels
Sentinels have only lost four matches so far in their home region, three of them against the previously mentioned G2 Esports. If the Tejo nerfs are so impactful as they are supposed to be, Sentinels could quickly overtake G2 Esports in Toronto.
The two-time Valorant Masters champions and Valorant Champions 2024 Top 4 were underwhelming in Bangkok as back-to-back defeats against DRX and Team Liquid saw them leaving the tournament empty handed.
Despite the team's initial result, Sentinels' experience will surely be helpful in Toronto.
MIBR
With three of the four teams finishing at the bottom of the VCT 2025 Americas Stage 1 standings being Brazilians, it's hard to be a South American fan right now. Despite the situation, there's a team that's still proudly representing the region, and that's MIBR.
The Brazilians started the season with a third place finish in the VCT 2025 Americas Kickoff. Unfortunately, only the best two qualified for the Valorant Masters Bangkok. Two months later, the Brazilians repeated the result, but this time the third seed rewarded them with an international qualification. This will be MIBR's first international performance since the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN São Paulo.
XLG Esports
G2 Esports won't be the only ascension team in Toronto as the VCT 2024 Ascension China champions XLG Esports unexpectedly qualified for the second Valorant Masters of the season.
The Chinese roster finished the VCT 2025 China Stage 1 group stage with a 4-1 record after only falling to the highly-experienced Bilibili Gaming. After a 2-0 victory against Nova Esports, the ascension team was expected to fall to the Lower Bracket as they faced off against the Valorant Champions 2024 winners EDward Gaming. Surprisingly enough, the Cinderella story was kept alive with a rock-solid 2-0 victory.
Although the team's Top 3 finish was enough to qualify for Toronto, the team wanted more. The Chinese roster defeated Wolves Esports in the Upper Bracket Final and, against all the odds, the players redeemed themselves with a 3-1 win over Bilibili Gaming in the region's grand final.
Bilibili Gaming
Bilibili Gaming are back to international heights as the Chinese roster qualified for a Valorant Masters for the first time ever. The team's last international performance was at the Valorant Champions 2024, where they got group staged after back-to-back 0-2 defeats against Fnatic and KRÜ Esports.
The Chinese were off to a good start to the VCT 2025 China Stage 1 as they secured Group Omega's first seed. Surprisingly enough, the team fell against Wolves Esports after consecutive 8-13 defeats on Split and Haven. After taking down Trace Esports in the Lower Bracket, the Chinese faced off against their nemesis EDward Gaming. Against all the odds, Bilibili Gaming took down the Valorant Champions 2024 winners to qualify for Toronto.
Wolves Esports
Wolves Esports will make their international debut at the Valorant Masters Toronto after surprisingly finishing the stage in third place. The roster fell against Bilibili Gaming and XLG Esports in Group Omega, but managed to stay alive in the race after victories against Titan Esports and Bilibili Gaming.
When Wolves Esports reached the Upper Bracket Final, the team had already clinched a spot to compete in Toronto. With the job being done, the team suddenly stopped performing as before and conceded a 0-2 defeat against XLG Esports and a 0-3 defeat against Bilibili Gaming.
Gen.G Esports
The Valorant Masters Shanghai champions are back to international heights after missing out on the Valorant Masters Bangkok.
The South Koreans had a hard time in Group Alpha and the team's final defeat against their fellows DRX saw them finishing in the group's third place. Later, the team secured a spot in Toronto after victories against TALON and BOOM Esports.
Rex Regum Qeon
Rex Regum Qeon will make its first international appearance since the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN São Paulo after surprisingly taking over the VCT 2025 Pacific Stage 1.
The Indonesian-majority roster went from a Top 8 finish at the VCT 2025 Pacific Kickoff to reaching the region's Top 3 in just two months.
The team struggled during the group stage, as a 1-2 defeat against Nongshim RedForce put them between a rock and a hard place earlier in the group stage. However, the roster quickly got things back on track after victories against ZETA DIVISION, TALON, and T1.
After securing a Group Omega top seed, Rex Regum Queon's 2-1 win against DRX in the Upper Bracket Semifinals was enough to clinch a spot to compete in Toronto.

Paper Rex
Paper Rex are back to international heights after finishing in third place in the VCT 2025 Pacific Stage 1. The Asian roster was one map away from sneaking into the regional grand finals, but a 2-3 defeat against Rex Regum Qeon saw the lineup missing out on the match.
The Valorant Masters Toronto will be Paper Rex's first international appearance in Valorant's top flight scene since the Valorant Champions 2024, as they missed out on the Valorant Masters Bangkok.
Additionally, earlier this month, Paper Rex qualified for the Esports World Cup 2025 after winning the Asian Champions League 2025.
Fnatic
After a slow start to the season with a 5th - 6th place in the VCT 2025 EMEA Kickoff, Fnatic are back to international heights after taking over the region and winning the VCT 2025 EMEA League Stage 1.
Despite finishing in second place in the group stage, the orange roster completely dominated the playoffs with victories over FUT Esports and Team Liquid before back-to-back 2-0 and 3-0 wins against Team Heretics.
Team Heretics
Team Heretics clinched EMEA's second seed to compete in the Valorant Masters Toronto after a run that only included two defeats, both against Fnatic in the Upper Bracket Finals and the Grand Finals.
Los Niños had a great start to the stage with a 5-0 run in Group Alpha, which was followed by a 2-0 win against BBL Esports. However, the team's first defeat against Fnatic saw them dropping to the Lower Bracket Finals, which ended in a 3-0 victory against Team Liquid. Finally, Team Heretics lost against Fnatic in the the VCT 2025 EMEA League Stage 1 grand finals.
Team Liquid
Team Liquid will have the chance in Toronto to redeem themselves from their Valorant Masters Bangkok performance as they were one of the first two teams to be knocked out.
The Blue Cavalry narrowly qualified for Canada after a top group stage finish was followed by a 1-2 defeat against Fnatic. Then, the Europeans clinched a spot to compete in Toronto after back-to-back 2-1 victories over BBL Esports and Natus Vincere. Finally, the team lost the Lower Bracket Finals against Team Heretics.
