Shortly after patch 11.07 came out, dataminers found a new game mode in the files called Skirmish. Due to the leak's timing, the new mode was expected to arrive with Season 2025 Act 6 of Valorant, but Riot had different plans, and the mode is now live.
The mode is only available in customs, and you can play from 1v1 up to 5v5. The mode takes place in small maps designed specifically for it, and the objective is to eliminate the other team using all means. The mode is more straightforward as it doesn't have any other objectives, like a bomb site.
As previously leaked, three maps are available at launch, and all of them are in an enclosed space. The only thing that varies is how the boxes and other items are arranged across the area. You can check out the minimaps for all three maps in the following post from the ValorantLeaksEN account on X:
Valorant's social media account posted the following video, showing off the action that takes place in this mode:
As you can see, the mode is not just gunplay, since every agent will be able to utilize their abilities. This will pave the way for some chaotic gameplay, where players can get some practice in.
Riot also promised that more modes are coming to the game in 2026, something reassuring since the game modes pool doesn't get expanded as often.
