What do we know about Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11 Season 3 new operator?

Ubisoft revealed during the Six Invitational 2026 the roadmap of Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11. During the reveal, Ubisoft's team explained everything that would come to the game in Year 11 Season 1, also known as Operation Silent Hunt, as well as small insights about the following three seasons.

Operation Silent Hunt and Operation System Override brought multiple changes to the game, including the newest attacker Solid Snake, Dokkaebi's remaster, Calypso Casino, a new weapon, and various operator balancing changes and quality of life tweaks. Now, it's time to look forward to the third season of Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11.

As unveiled earlier this week, we know that Year 11 Season 3 will be revelaed during the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. The reveal panel will take place on August 15.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, we don't know Rainbow Six Siege's new name. However, we know a bit about Rainbow Six Siege's Year 11 Season 3 new operator. Without further ado, here's what we know so far.

What do we know so far about Siege's new operator?

Rainbow Six Siege's new operator will be included as part of Year 11 Season 3, which is expected to be launched to the game in the first week of September.

Ubisoft have already confirmed that the new operator will be a defender. It will be the first defender released to Rainbow Six Siege since the launch of Denari.

We also know a bit about this new defender's gadget. The new Rainbow Six Siege defender will have access to a gadget which will be the first direct counter to shields. Although no footage has been released about this gadget yet, Ubisoft released a teaser during the Six Invitational 2026 where we could see shield operators struggling against this new device. We will update this article as soon as more information is revealed.

Finally, we also know that Rainbow Six Siege's new operator will be Egyptian. We know this as the weapon charm given to viewers for watching the Year 11 Season 3 Reveal Panel has the Egyptian flag on it. Therefore, it makes sense to think Rainbow Six Siege's new operator will be from the African country.
