It's official, Overwatch 2 Season 16 will feature a second collaboration, and it will be with the latest entry in one of Capcom's iconic franchises: Street Fighter 6. The fighting characters come in the form of new skins in the hero shooter.

Now that the trailer for the collab was revealed at EVO Japan 2025, we have gathered all the confirmed details so you can read about them and prepare for the event.

Release date

The Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter collaboration event is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 20th at 11:00 AM PT (7:00 PM BST). The mid-season patch for Season 16 is dropping on that same day, adding all the respective content.

The content should remain in the game for at least two weeks before rotating out for the foreseeable future.

Trailer

In case you haven't seen it or if you want to give it another look, here is the trailer for the event:

Skins and other cosmetics

As you can see in the trailer, the collaboration introduces eight new skins based on characters from the iconic fighting franchise. Here is a list of all the new skins along with their corresponding hero:

Kiriko as Juri in Overwatch 2 Street Fighter 6 collab
  • Juno as Chun-Li
  • Widowmaker as Cammy
  • Hanzo as Ryu
  • Kiriko as Juri
  • Soldier: 76 as Guile
  • Zenyatta as Dhalsim
  • Winston as Blanka
  • Sigma as Vega (M. Bison)

Almost all of the characters have been around since the franchise's early days, except for Juri, who was first introduced with Street Fighter IV in 2010.

We expect most of the skins, if not all, to be available to buy through the in-game store. Each one should have their bundle complete with other minor cosmetics like emotes, icons, or highlight intros.

Some of the emotes will probably mimic iconic moves from the game, like the Hanzo one we see at the end of the trailer.

Given the number of skins revealed, it is possible that at least one of them can be obtained for free by completing challenges. We will have to wait and see if this is the case.

Apart from the skins, the event should bring a new set of challenges with exclusive minor cosmetics, like Street Fighter 6-themed sprays or icons, as rewards.
