Overwatch 2 features numerous ranks to classify players based on their skill-level in Competitive matches, but there is a special rank called Top 500 that only a handful of users can be part of.
If you are climbing the ranks and want to know how to be one of the Top 500 this season, we have prepared a short guide explaining everything about it.
How to get Top 500 in Competitive
Top 500 is a special rank automatically granted to the top 500 players in a region. This applies for either role queue and open queue, meaning you can be a Top 500 support player or a Top 500 open queue player for instance.
However, there is a secondary requirement that an account must meet if it wants to be part of this category. Only accounts with at least 25 wins in the current competitive season are eligible to be part of this rank.
Once an account reaches that number and if it's among the top 500 players in their region, it will automatically receive the Top 500 rank regardless of their rank.
How to check the Top 500 players?
To see the Top 500 players in your region, go to Play, Competitive, and select the option Leaderboard on the right.
You can use the filters to select the region, role, and check for only accounts in your friend's list even if they are not part of the top 500. The leaderboard helps you see what rank the Top 500 players are on.

Remember that you could become a Top 500 even if you are in Masters or Diamond, just have to be among the top 500 highest-ranked players in a region and role.
