The latest Marvel Rivals update added information about five upcoming heroes that are currently in early development to the game's files, giving us an idea of what characters could come in the distant future.
As shared by the X0X_LEAK account on X, here are the new heroes in development, along with their rumored role and abilities names:
- Amaranth (Duelist, Melee)
- Chaos Spike
- Spell Counter
- Chaos Rain
- Frenzied Deterrence
- Forge (Specialist, Ray)
- Structural Analysis
- Creative Modification
- Spirit Realm Walking
- Limitation-Breaking Modification
- White Fox (Specialist, Melee)
- Life Drain
- Life Transfer
- Rapid Hypnosis
- Fox Shadow Evasion
- Hive (Vanguard, Melee)
- Deadly Parasite
- Painful Lashing
- Accelerated Transformation
- Armor (Vanguard, Melee)
- Unbreakable Object
- Psionic Armor 1. Form
- Psionic Armor - 2. Form
- Psionic Armor - 3. Form
- Mountain-Breaking Strike
As you can see, these are less well-known characters, probably to the general public. White Fox is a South Korean superhero who has appeared in Avengers comics before and also has her own solo comics.
Forge and Hive are mutants, which means they are increasing the number of X-Men comics-related characters in the game.
Although references for these characters are already in the files, the leaker suggested that these are not close to being released, as they don't look as "fleshed out" as other characters' files and the abilities don't even have cooldowns set.
We know that NetEase plans to release one new character each month starting in Season 3, which is not unusual to see so many characters already in development.
