With Year 9's ending being just around the corner, Rainbow Six Siege fans are, logically, starting to wonder about the future of the game.
Overall, Year 9 has been a great year for Rainbow Six Siege. Despite a clear lack of brand-new content, Ubisoft has massively improved the state of the game by tweaking the features that already existed before bringing new ones. In just a few words, Year 9 has been about improving and not creating.
In fact, it's fair to say Operation Deadly Omen was the most creative patch of the year, which included a new operator in Deimos, a new map in Lair, multiple operator balancing changes, a crucial anti-cheat update, and many more. Three months later, Ubisoft revealed Operation New Blood, which saw the arrival of Striker and Sentry, the game's Membership, among other updates.
Possibly, the most controversial season of Year 9 was Operation Twin Shells, as some people complained about Ubisoft's decision to release an operator on a wheelchair. Regardless of the community's views, Skópos' concept was a breath of fresh air, surely something unique. The third season of the year also brought the release of the Siege Cup and much more. Last but not least, Blackbeard's rework and the shield nerf created a mix of feelings in the final season of Year 9, Operation Collision Point.
All in all, while it's been a great Year 9 full of balancing changes and updates that have clearly improved the state of Rainbow Six Siege, it's time to turn the page and start looking at the future: Rainbow Six Siege's Year 10.

When is the next Rainbow Six Siege season being revealed?

Although Ubisoft has yet to reveal the exact date for next season's reveal, Ubisoft's Six Invitational 2025 blog post mentions a Year 10 Season 1 Reveal Panel Charm to be given to players who watch the Twitch stream for two or more hours. Therefore, we can confirm that the next season of Rainbow Six Siege will be revealed on February 16.
Announcing the future of the game in the final day of Rainbow Six Siege international competitions isn't something new; in fact, it's the formula that Ubisoft usually follows.
However, if you're still not convinced, there's more. On February 10, Ubisoft revealed that a Cinematic Trailer about the game's lore in Year 10 will also be released on February 16.
Plain and simple, it would be very strange if the next season of Rainbow Six Siege isn't revealed on February 16. However, we will update this article as soon as more official information is released.
When will the next Rainbow Six Siege season be released?
While Ubisoft hasn't unveiled a release date for Rainbow Six Siege's Year 10 Season 1, we can give you an idea of when the next season should be released.
Usually, when Ubisoft fully reveals the content of a brand-new operation, the Test Server is opened on the following day, giving players two weeks to try out and give feedback about the upcoming features. Unless major problems are discovered, the season is released between two and three weeks after its full reveal.
Last but not least, we can also use the conclusion date of the current Battle Pass to have an idea of when the next operation will be released, as it usually drops one day after the seasonal Battle Pass comes to an end. In this case, Operation Collision Point's Battle Pass is expected to end on March 3, 2025.
If Year 10 Season 1 is revealed on February 16 as previously mentioned, and Operation Collision Point's Battle Pass is expiring on March 3, we expect Rainbow Six Siege's new season to be released between March 4 and March 5.
