It was a long wait for console gamers, but Delta Force is finally heading to PS5 and Xbox Series systems later this year. The free-to-play military shooter has been consistently popular on PC since it was released late last year, so this wait has been a long one. Luckily, that wait will be ending soon, so fans on most gaming systems can rejoice.
This Black Hawk Down-inspired shooter promised to come out on consoles for a while now, but it seems the devs wanted to make sure the game was close to perfect on PC. While there are users who think the free-to-play shooter could be better, consistently high player numbers show there’s an audience for this.
When is Delta Force coming to consoles?
Delta Force will be released to both PlayStation and XBOX on August 19. This is a great step towards the right direction as more players will have the chance to try out the game, making the community bigger and, hopefully, healthier.
Curious players won’t have to wait long before this system comes out on Sony and Microsoft’s current-gen systems. With the long wait, we assume that plenty of quality control was done to get this shooter running well on both systems. Due to their power, we imagine that there will be no performance issues once the game comes out for these consoles.
Is Delta Force coming to Switch 2?
At the time of writing, there are no plans for a Switch 2 port of Delta Force, at least not right now.

Nintendo’s handheld-console hybrid isn’t known for many shooters, but games like Fortnite and Overwatch 2 do run on it. If more multiplayer shooters are added to the system, we think that the possibilities of a Delta Force Switch 2 port are more than possible. Until any official news comes out, we’re going to assume that a port isn’t part of the plans.
