The first week of the VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 1 went as many people had thought; but there was one major upset.

Keep on reading to find out what happened in the first week of action, as well as how the standings currently look like in the race to qualify for Valorant Masters Toronto.

Group Alpha

Fnatic Group Alpha

Here are this week's results in Group Alpha:

  • Team Vitality 2-0 GIANTX
  • Team Heretics 2-1 Apeks
  • Fnatic 2-0 Natus Vincere

Overall, we could say it was a boring week in Group Alpha as the three favorites to take the group's top three spots won their respective games.

While both Team Vitality and Fnatic had no major trouble to take down GIANTX and Natus Vincere, respectively, Team Heretics had a rough start against Apeks after a 5-13 defeat on Ascent. However, Los Niños got the victory after 13-8 and 13-6 wins on Split and Icebox.

Meanwhile, both Team Vitality and Fnatic got 2-0 wins as they will face off against on April 4 in a match that will be crucial in the race for Group Alpha's top seed. Keep in mind that topping the group stage is key to skip a playoff match, as first seeds automatically qualify for the Upper Bracket Semifinals — meaning they are only one BO3 away from qualifying for Valorant Masters Toronto.

Following these results, here's how the Group Alpha standings look like:

  • 1st: Team Vitality (1-0, +15)
  • 2nd: Fnatic (1-0, +10)
  • 3rd: Team Heretics (1-0, +4)
  • 4th: Apeks (0-1, -4)
  • 5th: Natus Vincere (0-1, -10)
  • 6th: GIANTX (0-1, -15)

Group Omega

Gentle Mates vs Team Liquid

Here are this week's results in Group Omega:

  • BBL Esports 2-1 Karmine Corp
  • FUT Esports 2-0 Movistar KOI
  • Team Liquid 1-2 Gentle Mates

Valorant Turkish fans had a lot to celebrate throughout the first week of the VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 1 as both FUT Esports and BBL Esports had dream starts against Karmine Corp and Movistar KOI, respectively.

The French powerhouse Karmine Corp was the favorite to take the win against BBL Esports, and the start to the series was great: the organization's super team started the match with a 13-3 win on Icebox. However, the Turkish side completed the comeback after 13-11 and 13-8 wins on Pearl and Fracture, respectively.

One day later, FUT Esports followed the trend with a 2-0 victory against Movistar KOI, who are yet to win a top flight match this season. The team's last win in the region was a 2-0 win on July 4, 2024.

Last but not least, Gentle Mates upset the Valorant Masters Bangkok-bound roster of Team Liquid. Although the Blue Cavalry had a great start to the series with a 13-6 win on Split, Gentle Mates forced the third map after a 14-12 win on Haven. Finally, the European mix took the victory after a 13-6 win on Icebox.

Following these results, here's how the Group Omega standings look like:

  • 1st: FUT Esports (1-0, +11)
  • 2nd: Gentle Mates (2-1, +2)
  • 3rd: BBL Esports (1-0, -4)
  • 4th: Karmine Corp (0-1, +3)
  • 5th: Team Liquid (0-1, -2)
  • 6th: Movistar KOI (0-1, -11)
