Riot Games has announced a new 2025 VCT Capsule for Valorant, a bundle inspired by the game's top-flight international leagues.
The 2025 VCT Season Capsule will coexist with the rest of 2025 VCT Team Capsules, which were released to the game alongside Season 2025. Therefore, fans will be able to represent their favorite teams and favorite leagues at the same time. Doesn't that sound exciting?
The 2025 VCT Season Capsule will include the following items:
- VCT Karambit: Unique melee skin that will glow for top fraggers who reach the weapon's Level 3. It's the first weapon skin with five chromas.
- Four Regional Player Cards: Players will be able to represent any of the international leagues with the unique regional player cards.
- Four Gun Buddies: The gun buddies are inspired in Valorant's regional leagues.
With the addition of a VCT Season Capsule, Riot Games is introducing a neutral product which will allow fans to support a region rather than a team. On paper, Riot Games expects teams with less success or a smaller community to benefit from the existence of this bundle, as explained in Riot's post on X:
The best-performing Team Capsules last year came from teams that won major global events or dominated regional fan bases. Since not all teams can enjoy the advantage of earning storefront placement after winning a Masters or Champions event, we wanted to create a product that raises the baseline for all competitors. In 2024, fans helped generate over $44 million USD for partnered teams through esports cosmetics and we hope to see similar success with the introduction of the Season Capsule.
The 2025 VCT Season Capsule will be released to the game on February 6 at 2 PM PST and it will remain available for players until the end of the Valorant Masters Bangkok, which will conclude on March 2. In other words, players will have four weeks to purchase the item from Valorant's in-game store.
