Ubisoft ban over 50,000 accounts in Rainbow Six Siege's biggest ban wave in history

It's a hard time to be a cheater.

Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft banned over 50,000 Rainbow Six Siege accounts on October 14 in what's the biggest ban wave in the game's history.

According to Rainbow Six Siege's post on X, Ubisoft banned over 50,000 accounts "ahead of the launch of Legend Division." Legend Division is an ambitious playlist that will make its debut on October 15, 2026. It will be exclusive to the best players in the game as it will only be open to Champion players. On top of that, Ubisoft will use new safety mesures to make sure Legend Division's pool of players is fair, competitive, and has no access to cheating services.

Rainbow Six Siege revealed that the accounts banned in today's ban wave are "linked to account sharing, account selling, or attempts to evade previous bans."

With this decision, Ubisoft is making a statement. Plenty of content creators and professional players have already praised Ubisoft's efforts; former professional player and content creator George "KingGeorge" Kassa commented on Rainbow Six Siege's post.

Although this is a great step to the right direction, the job is far from being over. It's clear that Ubisoft is tackling cheaters; however, the root of the problem is still there: cheat providers. As it's practically impossible to stop them, Ubisoft and other game developers work on making it extremely hard for them to come up with new ways of cheating.
