Trace Esports have qualified for the Valorant Masters Bangkok after today's 2-1 victory against Bilibili Gaming.

On January 20, the Chinese side caught the current world champions EDward Gaming off-guard with an impressive 2-0 victory including back-to-back 13-4 wins on Lotus and Bind. Three days later, the team's victory over Bilibili Gaming means they have become the first team to qualify for the Valorant Masters Bangkok.

Last year, after barely missing out on the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid and the VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai, Trace Esports made their international debut at the Valorant Champions Seoul. Against all odds, the roster survived to the group stage after victories Team Vitality and Leviatán. Alongside the eventual champions EDward Gaming, they were the only two Chinese sides to qualify for the playoffs.

Unfortunately for Trace Esports, the Chinese roster lost against their fellows EDward Gaming in their first playoff match. Eventually, Trace Esports were knocked out of the competition by DRX following a 0-2 defeat.

Following today's victory against Bilibili Gaming, Trace Esports' next match will be the VCT 2025 China Kickoff grand final. The Chinese roster will play against the winning side of the BO5 match between Bilibili Gaming and EDward Gaming, which will take place on January 24. Meanwhile, the grand final will be played on January 25.
