Team Heretics have won the Valorant Esports World Cup 2025 after reverse sweeping Fnatic in the tournament's grand final.

Fnatic's start to the series was brilliant as the VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 1 champions ran over Team Heretics with 13-4 and 13-1 victories on Lotus and Sunset, respectively.

However, it's not about how it starts but how it ends, and Team Heretics ended up taking the win after 13-11, 13-10, and 13-10 victories on Icebox, Haven, and Ascent.

This is Team Heretics first international championship in Valorant and it comes a few months after losing the Valorant Masters Shanghai and the Valorant Champions 2024 grand finals.

Curiously enough, Los Niños lost the VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 1 grand finals against Fnatic after the orange roster managed to reverse sweep Team Heretics. Therefore, we could say today's performance isn't just redemption for Team Heretics but also a special result.

With this victory, Team Heretics haven't just claimed international glory for the first time but also the competition's top prize, USD$500,000.

Moreover, this win means Team Heretics have now 1,000 EWC Club Points and need a Top 8 finish in the BO6 Esports World Cup to eligible for the Club Championship. If that were to be the case, Team Heretics would end the EWC 2025 Club Championship with at least 1,200 points — which last year was the equivalent of USD$600,000.
