Team Falcons have won the Apex Legends Global Series 2025 Open after a dominant weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Australian-majority roster narrowly survived to the Elimination R5 match as they finished in ninth place. However, the Falcons got back to the top after finishing in first of the Elimination Finals.
In the ALGS 2025 Open Finals, Alliance was off to an outstanding start after winning two of the initial three games. The Europeans' pace was so strong that they reached match point in the fourth match; they only needed another win to secure the trophy.
However, Team Falcons were there to spoil the party. A fourth-place finish in the fourth game of the Finals put them back on the radar, a result that was immediately followed by the team's first map win of the Finals. Suddenly, it was all to be decided between Alliance and Team Falcons.
With Alliance finishing the sixth map in eight place and with Team Falcons still being alive, the Europeans needed the Australian-majority roster to not win the game, otherwise they would claim the victory. Unfortunately for them, Team Falcons claimed a second consecutive map win and the final victory at the ALGS 2025 Open.
Team Falcons' win in New Orleans, Louisiana, means the players will be flying home with USD$300,000 and a spot to compete at the ALGS 2025 Midseason Playoffs. Additionally, they also secured 1,000 CS Points that currently put them in first place on the ALGS 2025-26 Rankings.
Since joining the Apex Legends' esports scene, in May 2024, Team Falcons have already earned almost USD$1M in prize pool money mainly thanks to the team's results at the Esports World Cup 2024, the ALGS 2024 Championship, and the ALGS 2025 Open.
However, this weekend's victory is the players' first international win under the Falcons, with Rhys "Zer0" Perry and Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen having already claimed international glory in the past for DarkZero Esports and TSM, respectively.
